I bought this gate the block the bottom of the stairs so the dogs cannot get up them. I bought a pressure gate so I would not have to screw anything into the walls since it may be temporary. This gate was a little tough to put in and make sure it does not move. The handle to open the gate it tough to get. My 10 year can do it most times but my 6 year old cannot. You have to push in the red button, pull the top to the side and actually lift up a little when you open since there is a roller on the botton of the gate.
The gate is well put together and should last awhile but would be nice if it was easier to use. It also squeaks when you open and close it and it is still pretty new.
All in all it is a sturdy gate and does what we need it to but could make our life easier and quieter if they fix a few things.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This gate is wonderful. No more climbing over because there is a walk through door! Very sturdy. Fits snugly in doorway.

A stray cat recently adopted me and my 2 mini-doxies. They all love each other, but inside our home I needed to separate them when they eat in our kitchen. I purchased this gate and installed it in minutes between the kitchen and utility room where Buddy, the cat, now eats and toilets. Buddy usually jumps over the gate to eat, for privacy, etc. but the doggies can't. The swing door works great and I love the look of the wood. Problem solved!
