I have bettas that don't like pelletized food of any kind.
This product is perfect. I cannot find it in the stores, and am very glad that I can get it online through Petco.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Prime Example of Good Betta Food

Omega One seems to be one of the few companies out there that pays attention to the needs of different fish. Check the ingredients next time you shop for betta food. If one of the first three ingredients is non-fish based, like wheat flour or gluten, pass it up. Bettas need a high protein diet, and cannot properly digest advanced carbs like in wheat products.
It took a few days to get my bettas on to a flake diet, but once they started, they go crazy for these. They do not cloud the water and are easy to remove from the tank if you feed excess. If you're having problems getting your betta to eat the flakes, (since most bettas are raised on pellets) just don't feed him for a day or two, then offer him very small bits of flakes to entice him. All it takes is one bite, and he'll start eating them no problem.
Also, it is advised to replace your can of food every 6 months or so. With a protein-based food, this can will lose potency faster than most fish foods.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this for my Betta fry, Seasky. It is easy for her/him to eat. It will last a long time since Seasky is so small. These flakes don't cloud the water. I like that about them, but why in the WORLD is salmon and black cod in Betta food?! These flakes also have (wheat) gluten and preservatives. I'd rather purchase a healthier food for Seasky, but he/she really likes them. In fact, Seasky likes them SO much, he/she pecks around his/her little glass stones and plant for leftovers!! Or is he/she just... pecking and exploring his/her new home?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
