Great Pads for Transporting

When I recently logged on in order to buy four more of these pads I was surprised to see the unfavorable reviews. While I don't actually own a dog, I spend a lot of time volunteering at the Humane Society and with RRW, Rescue Road Warriors, transporting dogs.
I have four crates with these pads and have used them successfully for about a year and a half on my transport runs (usually St. Louis to Indianapolis). All of my passengers seem to like them and are usually sleeping away so they must be comfortable. In addition, the pads are very easy to wash and dry and always come out looking great.
After buying four more crates so I'll be able to transport some smaller dogs, getting the same pads was a given as far as I was concerned. The negative reviews seemed to be about thickness and maybe they were more about home use and using them as a bed. In any event, I have found them to be wonderful for transporting dogs (which for me involves about a five hour period).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not worth the expence

The product can be used in the summer or winter granted, but for the price it is not worth it. I was disappointed when it arrived due to lack of substance of cushioning that appears in the photo, but not in reality. It is more of cloth with ruffling. To me this should be in the mid to low $20 range. I went to a Petco store once I got home from my trip and got a memory foam crate bed for the same price I paid for this one and it is better quality and my dog likes it which is important. This product would be ok for travel tho since it can be folded up easy for suit case travel as it was shipped in a small box folded up also.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wasn't what I expected

At a local store I found a much better crate pad for a lot less money. The pad I found is 5 inches thick and sturdy. The Dog Gone Smart pad will be returned because it is too thin and flimsy.
