This is an awesome cage! I love how sturdy it is and the opening on top. I keep it open most of the time and my love bird loves playing on top of the cage. It 's a lot easier for the kids when feeding the bird or cleaning out the cage. Birdie is very happy with his new cage and so am I. He goes to work with me so I got one for the office too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this cage for my yellow sided green cheek conure, Peeta loves it! It looks great in my home, and keeps my bird, who is the Houdini of the bird world, safe inside. I like it so much I bought a second cage for my love bird. HQ and Petco deliver a quality product at a great price!

Purchased this cage in December 2011. Excellent quality all around. Love the open top feature! Also like the way the food/water dishes are locked in (have to take out through swing panel they are held in). Cage has plenty of room for our black-capped conure and is easy to clean.
Put together with the help of my 12 yr old son. Instructions were fairly understandable, but had to guess what hardware was to be used. A hardware chart, to label the parts, would be helpful. We keep the bottom wire of the cage out so our bird can access the floor and give more room.
I would definitely recommend this cage and the price is great!

I am rating this bird cage based on its function: housing for my love bird. The cage is not only beautiful but it is also functional. It is made of heavy duty materials and will last a long time. My bird is comfortable in it. It looks very nice in the livingroom and fits in with my decor. I highly recommend this cage. This is the upside.
If I had to write this review based on the instructions for putting this cage together it would have received no stars at all. It took over three hours to put it together. The insturctions consisted of line drawings and no written instructions at all. The hardware needed is not packaged well or in an orderly manner. It takes a lot of guessing to figure out how to put it together. Once it is done you do have a wonderful cage for your bird. Ideally it takes two people. I would still recommend purchasing this cage.
