My super hyper lab puppy hit 9 months and we had been doing very well with our training but he seemed to plateau and then regress! My husband and I researched like crazy and decided we didn't want to only be limited to the yard because we travel with the dogs. We got a second collar for our other lab to start just BEEP training. The Sportdog 400 (we went with the S - it's a higher level of stimulation throughout the levels) because:
1. Simple to understand and use- my parents were able to use it with a quick tutorial.
2. 3 buttons including the BEEP (this was a fighting point between my husband and I - I didn't want only the stimulation) - a few short shocks and all that is needed to correct behaviors is the BEEP.
3. Lightweight collar and the remote is not bulky.
4. 100% waterproof
