Total Junk!

Arrived with a big crack in the front. Shoddy design of the upper support. The upper support is screwed in to the front and back. I have never seen an acrylic tank that had screws in it! The crack in the front started at one of the screw holes.

I purchased this tank online and waited a great deal of time for delivery and when it finally came it arrived with two cracks in it. When I looked the item over I noticed what a poor design it was. It was as though it were made out of plexi glass that's how thin the material was. I could easily manually bow out the material from the sides of the tank and couldn't imagine what it would do with water in it. There is a brace at the very top of the tank that goes from the front to the back held together by screws that are screwed directly into the tank which were the location of the cracks in the tank I recieved. Water pressure over time would probably do the same thing. (Around the screw area). I wouldn't have used this tank even if it came without the cracks in it. Very sloppy and cheap design.

Petco.com customer service was excellent in handling my problem...it took "3" shipments from petco to get an unbroken acrylic aquarium... 2 were receive with cracks in the same location and were unuseable...the 3rd replacement seems to be ok.
Thanks petco.com customer service for the help !!!

this aquarium is perfect for beginners...light, leak proof and very very clear but it could be delicate coz it scratches easily and mine had a crack by the bar which is mounted on the top part of the aquarium but PETCO sent a new one 2 days after i reported it. i am amazed at PETCO's customer service and efficiency. I will buy all my fish needs only at PETCO!!!

Nice Aquarium for price! The only down side to this is you need to read fine print! This comes with only the fish tank. Which is not really a problem but for this tank it is! The corners are rounded in front so unless you buy the eclipse hood, its hard to find anything else that fits properly. There is no inner ledge either just a bar in the middle. Not to mention, the eclipse hood has its own filtration system built in with bio wheel. It costs close to 100 dollars. I am left what I will do. I want a hood that fits good but I want my own filtration system its a pain with cycling.

Won't get any other aquarium

I have had an Eclipse III hood with a 30 gallon Sea Clear Acrylic tank for about a year. I'm so spoiled by the looks of the acrylic, it would be hard for me to get a glass tank. I have a big bio-load in this tank, no problems. Also, the light is very nice for growing plants. I haven't gotten scratches on my Sea Clear tanks, but I did have some slight scratching on my Eclipse 12 tanks.
