I've looked for a harness that would be perfect for my small dog in a number of stores and websites. This one is perfect as it fits well and can be attached to the car seatbelt easily.

Didn't work for our 88 + lb lab. She really gets outa control in a car. She still managed to get twisted in it even though we had her tethered really short. Might have worked if we kept trying to get her use to it. My husband doesn't have the patience. We took it back & ordered a thunder shirt we'll see how it goes. Right now we can't take her anywhere with just 1 person. It takes 1 in the backseat & 1 driving. She's been like this since we rescued her at 8 wks . Wished I'd heard about the harness when she was little might have been a different outcome.

I bought 2, one for when my Boxer/American Bulldog mix was younger and another for her current size. I'll need to purchase another once she outgrows this one, because she is very comfortable in it and keeps her safe. However, my son's dog was in our van yesterday and almost chewed through the tether strap and I haven't seen any replacements available to order.

Great product but be sure to check not only the weight requirements but your pets girth measurements behind the front legs to get the right size. My dog is a small for her weight however went to the next size up because of the girth measurement. A pet doesn't have to a Houdini to slip out if you don't have the right size :)

Both of my dogs slipped out. Straps slide and adjust constantly making it easy for the dogs to slip out of the harness. The cardboard bunches up and sticks into my dogs' ribs.I threw both harnesses in the trash and bought a better ones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like this Harness. I bought the XL for my male Golden Retriever puppy (currently 50lbs.) We just it for walks but it shines brightest on car rides. He was comfortable and safe. Makes for much much easier travel in cars than a crate.
Only thing I would change is maybe get the L instead. Time will tell though, he might grow into it yet. Great harness.

I tried other harnesses where the shoulder strap of the seatbelt went through the harness and my pup was most uncomfortable. He looked trapped against the seat. With this harness, he is tethered. He loves it and lifts his paws when it is time to put the seatbelt on? I love the fact that he is comfortable yet safe!!! Highly recommend this belt. For reference, my pup is 21 lbs and is comfortable in a medium.

this product is very strong and sturdy. my lab mix tried very hard to wiggle out of this, but she couldnt get loose. the only problem is that is tangled herself into it, so i had to stop and untagle her. it did work to keep her from jumping all through out the car. i would also recommend this product for walks.

I just bought this for my six months old chocolate lab. He hated it the first few minutes he had it on, but after I adjusted it he didn't notice he was wearing it. I bought an XL so he could grow into it and I was able to adjust the straps to fit him perfectly at 65lbs.

Have had this product for one week and in that week It saved my dog during an emergency stop in the highway. Never thought to have a safety belt for my dog but now I am going to by for my other 3 dogs. Highly recommend this product and my dog loves wearing it.

I purchased this product since there is laws regarding having pets secured in cars. I already had a harness for her, used the teter and it workerd perfectly. She was able to sit and lay down.

We used this harness for our 95 lb Mastiff mix on our recent trip to NC and it was great. At first he would get caught up in the tether when he moved, but he figured out how to turn so he wouldn't get his leg tangled. I felt so much better about making the 8 hour drive with him wearing it.

This harness for my dog saved his life. We were almost in a head on collision. If not for this auto harness, he may have been seriously hurt. Thank you for such a great item. He will never leave home without this harness on.

I have a year old geb puppyin training and the guiding eyes has certain protocal for where the dogs are allowed to be in the car. I recently was told that if she sits in the back seat she has to wear a seat belt. My puppy is used to being all curled up on the seat and with this she still can be with the teather long but I know she can't get into anything and if I get in a car accident for whatever sake she is probably safer than I am!

We have a Pug mix, not sure what with, about 1 1/2 years old, we rescued him from a humaine society, and dearly love him. He's blonde with a black face but longer than a pug. We got this harness and he loves it and we feel he's safer. It's very nice and sturdy and comfortable for him. He rides in the back bucket seat, but with the tether he can get down on the floor just beside the seat which he likes to stretch his legs a little. I'd recommend this harness. He's about 22 lbs. so we bought the small and it fits great. He's very lean and thin and we want to keep him that way.

i was looking for a harness that would keep our dog in his seat, both when we were in the car and when we left the car for brief periods. Maybe we haven't adjusted it properly, he has a lot of thick fur, and he continually manages to slip out of this harness if we leave him alone in the car. Not only that, the part that goes over his chest doesn't lie smoothly. If I make it snug he seems uncomfortable. like the tether part tho'. Still, wouldn't recommend this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just received my harness and am very impressed with the quality of the materials and the construction! I fitted the harness to the dogs and can't imagine that they would be able to escape from this harness - I have had that happen with other harnesses. They feel very comfortable with the harness and it should be easy to hook them in the car. Trying to get the seat belt itself through other harnesses was a major project with two big dogs.
Will write another review when I actually use them in the car!
This harness is very adjustable and my dogs according to weight needed the large but I was surprised to see that they also fit in the medium. I went with the large because the webbing is heavier.

I ordered a medium, the invoice said medium, the packing slip said medium, but the harness was a large. Bought a Petco instead. Too bad Petco doesn't carry these products in their stores.

This was just what I was looking for! I needed a way to keep my yellow Lab in the back seat while I was out of the car and without putting the pressure on his throat/neck. Additionally, this was perfect to keep all three dogs in their own space during long road trips.
The harness is very easy to adjust after watching the brief video. The tether was quite easy to hook into the car.
I love it and so do the dogs. Now, when they see me pick up the harness they know it's road trip time! I feel everyone (dog and human alike) is safer!
