I purchased two of the smaller ones while they were half-price, and although they are almost identical, I was able to arrange them in such a manner that they look like one piece of wood. It is really a tremendous centerpiece for my aquarium and much safer than real wood.
I would recommend this to a friend!

it has heavy paint smell, i need to clean it so many times and still can't get it away, only can make it less. also after a month in the tank, the paint starts to fall off. don't waste your money like me, i really want to return it if petco still allow me to do so.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Versatile piece for a small tank

I just put together my first fancy goldfish tank, and I'm thrilled with my Petco Faux-pani Aquatic Décor. I got the smaller size (7" L X 4" W X 4.5" H), and it fits perfectly in my Aqueon Evolve 8gal. It looks very realistic and offers plenty of variety for arranging it to create interesting spaces for my fish. And it avoids all the tannis-related problems that real driftwood can have. I'm very happy with this purchase -- excellent value and versatility.

I have this piece in my 6 gallon fluval edge. It is extremely natural looking-so much so that I thought it was real when I went to Petco and bought it! To me this is a much better way to go than real mopani wood. No tannins at all! Love it and I would recommend it if you are trying to steer clear of tannins from real wood in your water. Lots of different angles that you can work with when deciding how to place it in your aquarium too!
