I bought this for my dog last winter, thinking it would be good enough to keep anything off since fleas aren't prevalent in the winter. Normally I'd have bought (something else, won't let me say) but I'm not working and didn't have as much money.
I thought it would be fine. He got fleas for the FIRST time in his life. It also made me realize he was allergic to fleas as he got F.A.D. and he was miserable! Never again, I'll go broke before I subject my dog to such torment.
I ended up with large vet bills, a miserable 14 year old dog, fleas in my house, and everything else. Totally not worth it. Buy something else for your dog.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this product as a flea and tick prevention for my 6 month old puppy. She is very tiny and young, and is not outside more than a few minutes at a time so I figured the cheaper brand will be fine. She STILL got fleas and brought them in my house! She was miserable, and I was disgusted. I brought her to the vet and treated her immediately, and bought Frontline. She has been fine ever since. Please don't cheap out on these medications, they are worth it and will end up saving you money in the long run!
