I’d been looking for stands all over the place and was excited when I saw this one and all its high ratings. I ended up ordering and just finished putting it together. While I was putting it together I leaned two of the shelves against a wall and to my dismay; both edges on the shelves crumbled exposing the cheap particleboard. I just don’t understand why fish aquarium stands in general are so expensive and made wish such crummy materials. While I like the look of the stand, I’m going to drop into my local custom wood shop and have them craft me some real wood shelves for it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got this stand for a 29 gallon aquarium (I got the tank for free from a friend.....score!!!). I found myself in need of something reliable and quick. Many of the other stands I was looking at had me concerned if they could hold the weight of the tank plus the water. I felt this stand was the way to go because of how the legs are designed and the material of the overall unit. I didn't mind spending a little more on a stand. This stand was not inexpensive by any means, but I think it is worth the price. After all, getting something for terribly inexpensive would concern me with regards to the quality. It arrived in just four days after I ordered. Super easy to assemble, no problems at all. The stand has a nice modern appearance and complements many styles of furniture that may surround this stand. Once assembled this stand is solid and I do not worry about my aquarium tipping over. I know I will use this stand for many years to come. I am so happy I spent a little more and got exactly what I needed! Thanks Petco!

It was really pricey, but well worth it. The stand was a little hard to put together, but I ended up putting on the wood first and it turned out better. Looks nice, and I love it!

The price seems a wee bit high. But the free shipping special made up for it. Nice quality and easy to assemble. Would defintely recommend to a friend.
