Hard to administer but worth the effort

I think my cats have eyes in the back of their heads because they say that you're supposed to give eye ointments coming from behind the cat - well they know. Once I got it in the eye and rubbed the eye a little Casper seemed to like that. The next time went better.

My Poor Cat

My kitten had given my older female cat a eye infection by sneezing into her eyes. The eye began to leak out fluids that were yellow/green. Since i didn't have enough money for a vet visit, i thought i would try out this Gel since i saw the two reviews below & here's my results.
It will clear up most of the problem but won't get rid of it. Cat looks better but the fluids are still coming out. 1st week, eyes improved by alot but then by the 2nd week the problem leveled out & hasn't changed since. Its going onto the 3rd week soon.
I believe my cat has feline upper respiratory infection now & this Gel doesn't seem like it treats cases like this. So it might work for a simple infection but probably not a URI. So i gave this Gel 3 stars. I hope this helped. Also if you think your cat has URI, just take it to the vet. I probably wasted money on this but its handy for emergency's in the future.

Relief at last!

I don't usually bother to write product reviews as I am reluctant to recommend products that might not work for everyone. I had such good results with the Vetericyn, however, that I wanted to leave a good review out of sheer gratitude. I first used it to treat a recurring eye infection for my elderly cat that was causing her obvious discomfort. She also had some skin issues that the eye gel cleared up as well. According to the bottle it is antibacterial and promotes healing, so I felt safe trying it for both purposes. A friend of mine who keeps horses told me that she uses it on any open sores or eye infections. It's a bit confusing if the gel product and the eye product are actually the same thing, but they seem to both produce the same great results. This is one I can defanitely recommend with a clear concience.
