We have 5 dogs and they always have (need) something to play with and chew on. I have bought MANY toys for them and within days, they have torn them apart and they need to be thrown away. When I choose toys for them, I choose them as if I were buying it for a baby. I never buy toys with fur on them because if I can pull out little fibers, then they certainly can, and I am fearful of them choking on it. Perhaps that's a little neurotic on my part but I always keep safety in mind when it comes to them.
Getting back to the Spiny Ball......my dogs love them!!!! They are virtually indestructible and they last forever (unless the lawn mower gets to them first) My dogs play with them all of the time...inside and outside. These are a definite must if you have dogs that go through toys every other day. They are so worth it!!!!

My dogs either ignore toys or rip all toys to shreds immediately. This toy lasts and lasts and lasts! One ball lasts for months which is unheard of. One of my dogs looks for this first thing when he wakes up, every day. Both dogs play with these non-stop.
The best part for me is that they never smell or get slimey, because of the spikes. I throw them in the dishwasher here and there to clean them up, but they stay super clean on their own. Never stop making these balls!

I have two seven-month-old kittens, and bought the smallest size of this ball recently 'cause I figured they'd like it. They enjoy chewing things, and I believe their adult teeth are in stages of coming in. After getting used to the inial spininess of it (odd to them), which took all of a couple minutes, they've been loving it. On wood floors, it rolls and rolls, and never in a straight line (which cats love). They nibble at the nubs, pick it up in their mouths and drop/bounce it, and kick it around. Not every cat will dig this, but for ~$2, it's worth a shot. Mine LOVE it. Well made, and a great toy.

My Yorkie doesn't care for this at all. He ignores it. He prefers to play with regular little tennis balls instead. Disappointed because it's very cute and it's washable so it won't get yucky like the other balls he plays with.

I have an Akita/Huskey mix and just for kicks i bought him the little version of this ball. He absolutely demolishes every toy I buy him. He thinks everything is for chewing. This ball he played with forever. He finally did puncture it and it deflated but he still loved it. I plan to get him the little medium and the large..thanks for something i can keep for longer than a day.

I have a great dane who loves to play catch and chew. He loves this toy, and it is always the second one he pulls out of his toybox. He has one other ball that he likes better, but since he is a dog and cannot write product reviews, I am saying that this one is MY favorite of his toys. Because he is a large dog and slobbers alot, I love that this ball has the plastic nubs on it. When he brings it to me after chewing on it, it never feels all slimy and gross like his other toys do. It's also a really nice weight, not so heavy that you are worried about breaking anything, but enough heft to be able to throw it fairly far. I currently have at least 5 of these strewn around my house. Great toy for a great price!

I have an 8-month-old lab puppy who loves to chew everything! She loves these balls! After a couple of weeks, she pops them, but they are cheap enough to just go out and buy another- and she still has fun with them once they are popped! There aren't many balls that are squishy enough for her to effectively chew without destroying right away- these are perfect!

It's light enough to toss in the house, and because of the little spines, it doesn't get all slimy from drool, so I don't mind tossing it to her. (Love the sound that's made when she catches it cleanly!) ;o)

These are the only balls that my yr old Shetland Sheepdog is interested in. I read that the spiney things actually massage their mouth and that is why they like them.

We have 8 month border collie that loves this toy. I love when he brings me the bouncing spiney ball to throw because it does not get as slimy as his other toys. We bought three more in the store today because he loves them so much and has not been able to chew it. it is also great when we throw it because it does not make as much noise as some of his other toys. We are looking forward to this summer when we take him to the lake, should be easy to get him in the water chasing this toy.

The ball color is selected for you from Petco.com. It didn't have the bounce that was implied by the product description. Dog didn't like it and her friend didn't care for it either.

I have tried so many balls and toys through the years, and my dogs always destroy them in seconds flat. This ball is something that occupies them for hours and they fetch and retrieve it, without chewing it apart! I would highly recommend this ball----I bought ten so that I will always have one handy!

I spent tons of money on all kinds of balls that my dog would just eat up and destroy and it was incredibly frustrating. This ball is wonderful, it bounces super high AND DOESN'T GET EATEN!!!!! He plays and plays and bites it and it stays inflated! Thank you Petco for such an awesome gift for my little puppy!

What can I say. I exchanged the bouncing ball for this spiney ball because the other ball was too hard for the type of play Oscar does. He loves this ball. From the moment I received it and gave it to him he has played with it. This is a real winner for any dog who likes to play ball with a bonus of a little teeth cleaning too.

A little too large for my 10 lb yorkie, but she hasn't torn it up yet which is a nice change. She tries to play fetch with it (hard for her to pick up and carry around), but its not as interesting as the balls that squeak.

ice toy, it's too bad my dog won't play with it...it's too large and it doesn't squeak. She could care less that it does have a great bounce. Oh, well. Nice for a medium sized dog.
