Cheap material and poor quality

As my son and I unpacked the parts from the shipping box we found several of the panels with cracked pieces. I opted to use some wood glue and brads to patch things together rather than try to return it.
In addition to the cracked pieces, there was also a roof panel who's cross brace was misaligned and needed to be trimmed in order to get it to fit properly. Finally, some of the screw holes did not align with the support piece beneath it.
This house would best be used under a covered porch as it will not hold up in any kind of wet weather.

Ordered online, product description is not true. Cheap wood, doesn't seem like it would last outside in weather. It's such solid wood, it showed up broken in several places.

It's perfect except one thing: it's not water proof. You will need to buy blinds for the door and find a way to insulate the whole house. Since it's summer right now, it's easy to fix.

I thought it would be small (so I said oh man another thing I ordered wrong) but it is perfect! I have a beagle and when I get home from work he is passed out inside the house hahaha. And building it was simple my favorite part was opening the box and smelling that fresh wood ! Over all opinion it is worth every dime ! I love it! Excellent in rainy weather it doesn't get wet inside but just in case ill buy a door in case of storms. Buy it now and stop looking for other houses !

After open the box, the last panel from left wall is broken from the screw nails they put. It's too obvious and I don't understand why they still let it go out from factory. It's hassle to call them to make an exchange so I just glued them myself. Will never buy anything from them.

Fast shipping, easy to assemble, and a really good looking unit for the price!!! I was not sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews. But I could not be happier with this dog house! I got the medium size for my mini schnauzer Fritz and it gives him more than enough room to hang out and even play with some chew toys! I assembled it myself in around 20-25 minutes with basic tools and no problems at all. We all love the look and Fritz is happy in his new house!!!

I bought this dog house for my 26 pound Blue Heeler. I ordered the medium sized house and she just loves it. The house is very spacious and is very attractive, my dog went in to it instantly which was suprising seeing as how it was her first house! The house was fairly easy to put together and the directions were easy to follow, although it is very much a two person job so you may want someone to help you. The flooring in the house is not very thick so you would not want a very heavy dog in the house. I was impressed with the finished product and as long as it keeps my dog warm and dry I'm satisfied. Oh and if your dog chews on wood (like mine) you may want to put come sort of coating on the corners of the house.

This "Country Cabin" doghouse is the perfect size for my male Shih-Tzu. He just loves it and won't allow the cat to even visit him when he's in it.

Light weight dog house. Cute as heck and dog loves it, but arrived broken and it is not super sturdy. Our big dog could bump it and crush it. Drop in floor has large gap where small dog toes could get hung up. a screw that was supposed to be assembled was loose in the packaging. It fell out when I opened the box. I think with a little wood glue and a better wood sealant it will be just fine. We are just disappointed in the quality for the money.

I am pleased with the dog house, we have (3) small dogs and the Med size seems to be just the right size. I added some carpet to the floor for a little more comfort and warmth. They all (3) get in and cuddle up to stay warm, (so far, so good.) They have not tried to chew the wood yet, which was a worry at first. I plan to add a door flap next winter.

I have two semi-feral cats that I have fed, neutered and pampered for several years. They refuse to come in the house or even on the porch. We had really bad rains this year and the garage got quite cold. I bought this for "the boys" and bought a sheepskin for the floor of the house. They LOVE it! The two of them cuddle up and stay nice and cozy. I like that it is elevated off the ground and that the roof has an overhang to prevent the rain from getting in. I bought the plastic split door for it but that seems to scare them so I took it off. I bought the medium and it is perfect for my two adult cats. It was very easy to construct. My 12 year old grandson put it together for me.

Not Just For Dogs!

THE OCCUPANT:
When Chewy, a stray tuxedo kitty first appeared in our backyard, we thought he was just passing through. But after throwing out a piece of scrumptious steak, he's decided to make our yard his permanent home. Having seen him sit through rain showers, thunderstorms and windy days, I couldn't bear it anymore. We couldn't let him inside our home, because we have a pair of budgies and cockatiels. Not to mention, furniture that would make excellent scratching posts.
FEATURES:
With winter around the corner, I wanted to ensure that Chewy would have somewhere warm and dry to sleep at night. Some cat houses I've seen look somewhat toy-like, made of durable plastic and colors which some people might not find an appealing addition to their yard's motif. The Precision Outback Country Lodge dog house, however, for around the same price as those homes, is very nicely built, cozy and cabin-like. The elevated legs, which may be adjusted higher for inclement weather or uneven ground, are a plus, and will keep your pet dry. The roof is leak-proof, as there is an entire board beneath those wooden liners for double protection.
SIZE AND ASSEMBLY:
The assembly was very simple; all you require is a screwdriver. If you have a powered screwdriver, that will make the set-up even quicker. There are 2 roof pieces, 2 side boards, 2 floorboards, front entrance piece, back piece, and black roof bar which completes it. There aren't so many screws/nails that it would drive you nuts. It took me around half an hour to complete.
I purchased the small dog house. Chewy, in terms of size, matches up to a Jack Russell terrier. He can sit up or sprawl out with plenty of room. If he weren't so territorial, I'm certain another feline could even "sleep over."
RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES:
An important note: Be sure to add a cushion or bed. Make sure it's flexible and not too high, so you can push it through the entrance and not block it, or you might have to remove the roof to do this.
We also purchased an outdoor heating pad, which we plan to put underneath the bed during freezing cold temperatures. It is waterproof with a chew-proof cord, which with a thermostat, can be turned on or off when not in use. Put the heating pad on one half of the house, so that your pet may choose from the heated or non-heated side. For blizzards and those of you who live in extremely cold regions, a vinyl door flap will suffice perfectly. It can be easily removed in warmer weather.
THE VERDICT:
Don't hesitate to buy this dog house. I have looked around and browsed dozens of pet houses before deciding that this was the one, due to its price and solid construction. If my cat loves it, I'm betting a dog will, too. Just throw in a treat, toy or favorite object, and watch your pet move right in!
Chewy has got to be luckiest stray in the neighborhood. He is also probably the only cat around who lives in a dog house!

I purchased this for our outdoor cat after reading the reviews. The house is adorable and our cat loves it. The assembly was easy; I did it myself in about 20 minutes. The inside is spacious (bought the small size) and stays dry even in heavy rain. Overall I (we) couldn't be happier!

This dog house is attractive and was relatively easy to put together. The wood is rather lightweight and I'm concerned it may not hold up in rain. I did put a coating of linseed oil on it so we'll see if that helps.
