Bird bath is a little smaller than it looks in the pictures, but is very well made. The stake to put it in the ground is not well made and cracked when I tried to hammer it in. Be careful of that! The bath works perfectly and has stayed ice-free throughout the Northeast blizzard.

This bird bath provides a nice treat for birds wanting a drink when temperatures are below-freezing and there are no sources of water. You can clearly see the bird bath water in a liquid state when everything else is frozen solid.
The package includes a sturdy plastic pole and hardware for elevating it above the ground. I haven't used the pole yet, but have the bath sitting on a small outdoor table, which is working quite well.
Something worth mentioning, which I don't recall in the Petco product description...The bird bath comes with only a very SHORT (about 1 foot) power cord, so attachment to an extension cord for powering is mandatory. There is an advertisement on the power cord for a "Lock n' Dry" extension cord, sold separately, which is supposed to provide a water resistant power connection to the bath. Just be prepared for this as I expected a much longer cord.
I highly recommend this product. It is of high quality and Made in USA!

I never write reviews, but as I watch the birds play in this bath in 17 degree weather I felt compelled. The birds LOVE this! Nice gentle slope so every size bird enjoys. I have it sitting on an outdoor table - I didn't attach it to anything, though it comes with the tilt hardware and a pole setup. I don't have ordinary deck rails and the table works for us. The cord has a little cutout so it does lay flat. Since it is open on the bottom side you don't have to worry about water collecting in the cord section. We had a previous bath that had a bottom plate that secured the heater section - the water would run down the cord and collect in the heater section and shorted it out. We actually need to change/refill the water at least once a day sometimes because the birds take so many baths and are constantly at it drinking. Just dump quickly and we use a paper towel to wipe down the surface to get out the dirt - very easy surface to clean! And obviously the heater works very well!! If you feed the birds and love to watch them then add the bird bath - it really is so much fun and very gratifying to watch them enjoy the water and they need it too!
