"I PURCHASED THIS ITEM BEFORE I GOT A DOG. I KNEW I WAS GOING TO GET A MEDIUM TO LARGE DOG AND WANTED THEM TO HAVE A LOT OF ROOM, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF MONEY. WHEN I SAW THIS ONE ON LINE, AND IT WAS ON SALE, I WAS SOLD. JUST ON SATURDAY 4-5-08, I WENT TO THE LOCAL HUMANE SOCIETY AND ADOPTED A GERMAN SHEPARD PUPPY. SHE IS INSIDE WITH US CURRENTLY, BUT HAS LOOKED AND LAID IN NEW DOG HOUSE. LOTS OF ROOM TO GROW."

"I purchased 2 of the extra large dog houses and they arrived fasted than I exspected. They were easy to snap together. the price was better than local stores.
and I like the design and color of the houses.
there is an extended lip over the entrance to the house which will keep out the wind and rain....Plus I turn my dog houses toward the wall of our home so the entrances are under the protection of the house roof."

"I bought 3 pet shelters, 2 large and 1 small. Anyone who is a real pet parent call their pets their kids and my kids love their new beds. They look so comfortable in there sleeping. I, personally, think it was so worth the money I spent."

"We have two dogs- a pomeranian and a sheltie/spaniel mix and I got the large dog house version of this for both dogs. It was so easy to set up. You just pull the two pieces apart and click together. Done. Took me two minutes to move it and put it together. It is very sturdy and both dogs fit inside nicely. It has a big opening for the dogs to climb in and vents on the back side for the air to get in. Waterproof! We live in an apartment, and this fit on my uncovered patio. You can't beat it. My dogs love it! For the price you have to spend... it's the very best."

"The dog houses were very nice and easy to put together, however they were too small for 3 of my dogs. My dogs weigh about 45-50 lbs and the dog houses say for dogs up to 75 lbs. The customer service I received was excellent. I was able to return them with out any trouble."

"This was the first dog house that our Old English Sheep Dog would even go in. She absolutely loves it! I was worried since she never liked the other shaped products but this protects her from the weather and keeps her happy to nap in. She's a big dog and the room is perfect for her. She does like to have something comfortable to lay on in there but petco has great options for that as well. Highly recommend this dog house!"

"Water gets in when it rains and stays in. I even drilled holes around the bottom but pet bedding gets wet and stays wet. I am very disappointed in this product. I own both a small and medium sized version. Both have the same problem even with weather flaps installed in the entryways."

Decent for the Price

"This house is easy to snap together and has alot of room inside. The appearance is ok and the price is reasonable. The problem is that it absolutely leaks when it rains. The water will come down the side and find its way into the crack where the two pieces snap together. I wondered why after the first rain my dog's pillow was soaked. So, i tested it. I filled a gallon bucket with water and poured it on the top of the house. Sure enough, a good portion of water founds its way inside the house. Unfortunately, i am taking it back to PetCo today and trying the igloo/dogloo."

"This house has kept the weather out and my puppy loves it. I never had a dog that would actually use a dog house, but my lab puppy Chunk does. I'm still waiting for him to grow into it, but he uses it all the time. We brought it inside the garage for the winter, and he still sleeps in it when he's down there."

"This house collects water like a rain bucket! I purchased one last May. It hasn't rained until recently. When it rains there is a pool of water at least 2 inches deep inside the house and the mat I bought for this house is soaked through and through. Not exactly the shelter I was looking for when I purchased this house for my dog! It's raining today but I have the house in my car to return to Petco, since it sure won't keep my Sheltie dry!"
