"I purchased the medium size for my 12lb westie and 3lb papillion to share. I was originally afraid when I ordered online that it would be too small. It is perfect for my two furry friends. The dogs took too it like it was favorite corner of the house. We put outside for those times they want to be outside, or for those times we leave them out while we are away from the home for a few hours. They love it and we love that they love it. We also purchased the door ...at first it kept falling but w/ some long nose pliers and some krimping of the S hooks we were good to go. It helps keep the wind and rain out."

"I was very happy with this house until it rained & I found a mystery puddle in the back of the house. Initially I thought it was the air vent, but it turns out, somewhat inexplicably, to be the midline seam.
Thanks for your smart & practical solution. I was drawing out engineering plans to create a canopy over the sides of the house but weatherstrip tape sounds SO much easier!"

Important note on dimensions

"The houses are very sturdy. They are heavy, which means they won't be easily blown (or dragged!) around. And the clips are great, it doesn't take the dogs long to get the tops off their houses!
On the dimensions, be aware that the ones shown are exterior dimensions. The medium houses are 22x25 interior - that's a minor difference on the width but a huge difference on the length! Our 60lb "test dog" could sit comfortably, but can only lie down if curled up. No stretching out in this house!
A great buy for a house that will see some tough use, but if in doubt, up size!"

"I read the reviews. First, I'm not sure what alot of you expect from a $70 doghouse. If you're looking for something a little more elegant, $70 isn't gonna do it. Regarding all of those that experienced leaks, yes, so did I. However, it was an easy fix for about $2. First, you simply go to a hardware store and buy a roll of 3/4" x 1/8" thick foam weatherstrip tape. Take off the top half of the house and turn it over. Install the foam tape in the slot that mates onto the bottom half. Put the top back on and snap it into place. No more leaks. Not so hard, huh? Mine has now seen torrential rains, and along with the clear plastic "door", it's nice and dry inside. Now, if my aussie-lab mix will stay in during a storm, instead of biting raindrops...."

"I PURCHASED THIS ITEM BEFORE I GOT A DOG. I KNEW I WAS GOING TO GET A MEDIUM TO LARGE DOG AND WANTED THEM TO HAVE A LOT OF ROOM, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF MONEY. WHEN I SAW THIS ONE ON LINE, AND IT WAS ON SALE, I WAS SOLD. JUST ON SATURDAY 4-5-08, I WENT TO THE LOCAL HUMANE SOCIETY AND ADOPTED A GERMAN SHEPARD PUPPY. SHE IS INSIDE WITH US CURRENTLY, BUT HAS LOOKED AND LAID IN NEW DOG HOUSE. LOTS OF ROOM TO GROW."

"I purchased 2 of the extra large dog houses and they arrived fasted than I exspected. They were easy to snap together. the price was better than local stores.
and I like the design and color of the houses.
there is an extended lip over the entrance to the house which will keep out the wind and rain....Plus I turn my dog houses toward the wall of our home so the entrances are under the protection of the house roof."

My Kids Love Their Houses

"I bought 3 pet shelters, 2 large and 1 small. Anyone who is a real pet parent call their pets their kids and my kids love their new beds. They look so comfortable in there sleeping. I, personally, think it was so worth the money I spent."

Awesome Dog House!

"We have two dogs- a pomeranian and a sheltie/spaniel mix and I got the large dog house version of this for both dogs. It was so easy to set up. You just pull the two pieces apart and click together. Done. Took me two minutes to move it and put it together. It is very sturdy and both dogs fit inside nicely. It has a big opening for the dogs to climb in and vents on the back side for the air to get in. Waterproof! We live in an apartment, and this fit on my uncovered patio. You can't beat it. My dogs love it! For the price you have to spend... it's the very best."

House too small

"The dog houses were very nice and easy to put together, however they were too small for 3 of my dogs. My dogs weigh about 45-50 lbs and the dog houses say for dogs up to 75 lbs. The customer service I received was excellent. I was able to return them with out any trouble."

"This was the first dog house that our Old English Sheep Dog would even go in. She absolutely loves it! I was worried since she never liked the other shaped products but this protects her from the weather and keeps her happy to nap in. She's a big dog and the room is perfect for her. She does like to have something comfortable to lay on in there but petco has great options for that as well. Highly recommend this dog house!"
