I use this for when my birds are out of their cages and I don't want to pick up their droppings from the floor. I stick these around their cages and let them play (supervised, of course). These are good, not great, for one reason. They're more SAND than GRAVEL, and the sand always falls off of the paper, and it leaves an unwanted trail of sand around their cages. It's really sandy, so you wouldn't want to use this on carpet! It absorbs their droppings well and it's easy to dispose of, which I like. The sand? Not so much. Other than that it was great. I just use newspaper now, because it's easier.
