Had the same problem as everyone else, unraveled within weeks. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased it. Who do we talk to to get our money back! The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it was cute and my cat did enjoy the little tinkle ball on top.

I bought this post because it looked pretty (for a scratching post) and was cheap. Well, there's a reason! It IS cheap! It started to unravel the first day and, within a week, was a complete mess and I had to toss it. Their old $20 post lasted 4-5 yrs, BTW. Do not waste your money on this piece of junk.

I got this because it was the cheapest I could find and I liked that it was made with renewable sisal and seagrass. I was looking for a scratching post with carpet and a rope-wrapped neck, and this was the closest.
This post was much too light. I have a hefty cat that brought it down from just playing with the ball.
You could tell it was made pretty cheap. Wherever you could see behind the rope, there was styrofoam.
Like I said, if you prefer to buy posts frequently and spend a little money at a time, (and have more dainty cats) this may be the one for you! Was cute and my cats were definitely interested in it the moment I brought it in.

My cat tore this post to shreds the first day I had it. The entire bottom unravelled. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Our 14 lb male cat loves string and rope, so when we were shopping for a new scratching post, this one caught our eye. He absolutely loves it, but it did fall apart quickly. Of course, for the price (under $20), it's done its job for the last four months. We hope to find another post made of the same material, but hopefully one that lasts longer. In all fairness, he tore up a carpeted post too, so I think he's just a heavy-duty scratcher!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Scratching post is quickly coming apart. Glue on outside of 1 ½” hollow plastic hanging ball is insufficient to keep brown sisal cord attached and has come completely unwrapped. Lower two-thirds of sisal around upper globe on post has come unwrapped from foam. Post is not stable and gets constantly pulled over. Durability of post and quality is clearly lacking for use with a cat of any substantial size and strength.

Bought this for our new kitten, within one week the sisal came unraveled on the base. She's able to tip it over b/c she climbs to the top of it and leaps off. Nevertheless she still loves it but it wouldn't be sturdy enough for a large cat.

This scratching post started falling apart within the first 24 hours. I took it away and reglued it so we'll see how long it lasts. The only thing I can say is I'm glad I bought it on Black Friday when it was 50% off cause it surely isn't even worth that price!

All I have to say is that the string on top broke within 5 minutes of my cat playing with it. Overall it did look good.

This scratching post felt apart within minutes and my cat didn't even play hard. The craftsman work was very bad. The ropes weren't secured on the post as tightly as it should. Some parts were already loose before I let my cat touch it.

My 4 month old kitten took to this toy instantly and became one of her favorites for almost 2 weeks! She loves the material and playing with the hanging ball. I just wish the product was more durable as the bottom weave is coming apart. I got the item as a "buy one get one free" deal, bringing the item to $10.00 vs $20.00. Def worth $10, not so sure i'd spend $20 strictly due to durabilty issues.

My cat loves the material it's made of & the unusual shape, however, IT TIPS OVER & UNRAVELS TOO EASILY! I had to secure it by placing it below and in between the legs of a bar stool chair or it would tip right over with one scratch! Once secured, it had to be tightened several times (screwed in tighter,) and then it fell apart w/in a few months by unraveling. It looks like there is foam under the sisal or whatever it's wrapped with. They need to improve this product. I would pass if I were you and find something bigger & better! Listen to these reviews, they don't lie!! GOOD LUCK

Nice looking post out of the box the string on the base remained attached for just about 5 minutes. I keep it around because I have not found a suitable replacement and the cats have learned to use this one but it is not a favorite.

My kitten loved this so much (after my husband showed her how to use it). It is starting to fall apart though, after months of spaz kitty playing with it. The height was perfect for her smaller frame. She did rip the ball of the string, but that just turned into another toy for her. For the money, I think it was a great purchase.

This post is small enough for a kitten but not sturdy enough, it falls down easily. My 3 month old kitten was interested in the toy but stopped playing when the post started moving to much.

This post is basically a paper towel roll covered in sisal. My cat tipped it over and it broke in half. Worthless, do not buy.

The round bottom lets this tip over too easily. The sisel on the base comes loose too quickly. Not a good choice, although the price was good.

My 11-lb female cat loves this scratcher and I have several placed around the house. I buy more when they are on sale or I have coupons so there are extras on hand when she really destroys one. She never tips them over, they stay perfectly upright for her and she very happily uses them instead of the furniture.

Good natural concept with very poor execution. I wonder if they did any tests since the sea grass unraveled the first day. I traded it in for a sisel scratcher which lasted only a few days longer.
