We bought this for my daughters bunny. It's really cute and is holding up well outside so I can't complain about the construction. We didn't have any problems putting it together. The problem is that the rabbit would only use the bottom ground level for a bathroom. This worked out for the best really because the litter box is right at my 5 year olds face. It was not pleasant to see her sticking her face up against the litter box to say Hi to her bunny. And when she would get him out to play he would jump from the litter box. Each time she came to the cage thats where he would go, we couldn't get him to change his ways and use the bottom door. He also refuses to use the top room. We don't know why, we've tried different things to get him in there, even treats but he refuses. He sits on the middle level even in FL rain. We ended up taking out the ladder to the top level and cleaning the litter box. That is now where he sleeps and eats. downstairs is the bathroom still which is harder to keep clean. Also, the water bottle hangs almost to the ground, better to use a dish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Falls apart all the time
PostedJanuary 25, 2011
I have three tiny dwalf rabbits. This hutch looks cute and doesn't take too much space because it's not wide, but tall. (I live in an apartment and keep my rabbits inside). Assembly was easy except the roof! I needed a handyman's helf to affix the roof! Slopes/ladders are cheply made, not a right size, not in the right places, and not right steepness. They are almost useless. Third floor (metal bars) does not fit the frame and thus, not flat and stable. The worst part is that the second level-shelf slides forward and falls off the ledges. The shelf needs to be fixed to the ledges in the side. They can't use the four levels becaue soples fall and the second level fall all the time. I am very dissapointed, especially because this hutch looks so cute, and I wish it worked well.
