Really wanted to love this product. It is too rough though. My cats put their paws on it once, and wouldn't touch it after that. Waste of money, extremely disappointed.

We have 3 cats and bought it for the one who is chewing cardboard; he is not the one that is using it-yet, I hope. They immediately stole the feather and all play with it, but the reason I bought it has not been seen yet...

My two cats are completely uninterested in this product. I used catnip on it to entice them and they will not even use it once. I even demonstrated it myself! My sister has one for her cat and he loves it, it must just depend on the cat. My cats prefer the cardboard scratchers.

We had gotten this for our 3 cats just to try it out. They didn't like it at first but after we had put catnip on it they loved it. We had only put the catnip on it once. They all will fight over using it. It can get messy but it's better then ruining your carpet and couch. Since this they haven't touched the carpet or the couch. Even when it was in chunks after them using it, they still was scratching the what was left of it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I run a cat rescue in my home, and my cats LOVE this thing. I've tried every scratching post made and they've never used any of them. I have one of these in every room of my home.

My cat refuses to use this product, and for good reason. He normally goes absolutely crazy for catnip, but even when I dumped fresh catnip on it, he still refused to use it. This product may be good for kittens, as shown on the package, because it is certainly not large enough for a grown cat to use.

Bought one for my indoor cat but she would not use it. She would just look at it and walk around it even after I added fresh catnip. I went back to Petco and exchanged it for another scratcher and had the same result with the new one. Thank god for claw clippers!!

I got this a few months ago hoping her nails would file down a bit so i don't end up looking like a heroin addict after I play with her, but she never goes to it anymore. She was obsessed with the toy when we first got it but it comes out too easy so, of course, it is lost. After moving in to our new place, we had NO furniture so there was absolutely nothing to scratch and she didn't even look at it once. I would not recommend this to owners based on my experience.

My cat loves it, but Not what I Expected

My cat loves it. She uses it as a chair most of the time, but it does not file her nails. I am glad I got it since she spends a lot of time on it. Also the feathery toy did not last more than 2 days, but she did enjoy it while she tore it to pieces.

Our 2 cats wouldn't touch it. I even put fresh catnip on it and my cats wouldn't go near it. They prefer the corrugated cardboard. Also, the fuzzy tail on a stick would not stay upright, it kept popping out of the peghole. Great idea, just didn't work.

I have 7 cats. About half of them use this. It is very messy - as they scratch the little pieces go all over. It does not file their claws. You still have to trim them the usual way.

Our cats used to scratch on the carpet all the time, but when we got this, they went from the rug to the scratching thing. It does tend to make a mess, but its a lot better than them ruining the rug. If you put a little cat nip on it, they will play on it for hours.

I was given this in brand new condition by a friend who said their cat wouldn't touch it. Mine wouldn't either. The cats don't seem to like that they cannot stick their nails INTO it, but I'm just guessing. They love cardboard scratchers, carpet scratchers, but this--they won't go near it. After reading the other reviews, I'm thinking this is true for most cats.

I bought this for my cat Sam and he hates it. He doesn't even bother with it. It has been 3 weeks now and all he has done was kick it. Don't waste your money on this.

I bought two of these for my two 11 month old kittens and they won't touch them at all. My intent was to replace the cardboard scratchers that we already had with these. It's been almost 2 weeks and they haven't used them once.
