So far so good

Ive had aquariums for years, actually decades now, and have used a mixture of carbon and zeolite almost exclusively. I have occasionally used a nitrate/nitrite remover, but very seldomly. I am disabled, and with everything rising in cost except social security, I was/am looking for a less expensive, and hopefully at least equally as effective, alternative. I put this in my two brackish tanks about ten days ago. Noticed nothing new/unusually, other than a few new tank members thanks to the ever reproducing platies. Would rank this product as excellent if I still didn't have spidey senses on alert! Maybe just too dyed in the wool to change, but this is working and being able to recharge it will indeed cut my costs significantly!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was dissapointed that the product didn't come in a flow through bag. The beads are in the container and you have to find a bag to place them in before using the product... which isn't as easy as it sounds. The beads are so tiny that they pass through the mesh in most commercial flow through filter media bags. I would recommend using panty hose to make you own flow through sack because if those tiny beads get loose in your filter and/or aquarium... you'll never recover them.
Now that I'm using the product... I'm pleased with the results and my water quality.
