They are too small!

I bought the X-large size at my local Petco for my Rottie-Pit. She is not overweight, but the x-large size is not big enough! I had to resort to diaper pins to keep them on because if she moved, the Velcro would pop open. She acts as though they are very uncomfortable.

i bought the size large and x lg and my dog weighs within the X Lg size however she is going to be a size MEDIUM. These run very big. usually she wears a size large with most diapers or an xlg but these are way too big.

This product needs restructuring

I bought the small size because my dog is only 11 lbs. They would not stay up around his middle so they kept sliding down. He was able to urinate out the top. I then bought the medium size, and of course, they were too big, but I tried to modify them to fit. I think they need to go further up on the underside of the dog's trunk toward his head and the hole for the tale needs to be movedup higher toward the head. It needs to be longer on the underside than on top in order to keep it where it belongs.

I have been using these britches on my Springer Spaniels for over 10 years now, and just bought two new pair. They wash up nicely and have a secure fit.
I would highly recommend them!

not for dogs with no tail

I can only speak to its value to a dog with no tail, as in my Australian Shepherd. Despite being assured that would be useful and useable for a dog with no tail, it was absolutely not. Without the tail to anchor the diaper in place, it slipped off her butt during the night and kept her from being able to get up and move anywhere. Maybe good for other dogs, but a terrible experience for mine.
I inadvertently put this answer first under the garment liner item that I also bought. Apologies for that.

Ivy Sue loved the comfort and elastic around the legs and straps. And washing was a breeze. Thank you so much for the quality of this product.

They work for limited use

Bought a pack of these almost 2 months ago. Because my dog has a very bad bleeding problem, caused by a tumor, I have to use feminine pads with them. Sometimes these diapers and the pads don't work. After all the uses and washing, I now have to sew the velcro back on both the diapers. I wish the denim was a little thicker. I have other types of diapers that I also use that are a little better than these. I guess these are good if they are used for a limited amount of time, but for how much I use them on my dog they are fair.

Nicely made but needed customizing

These diapers are nicer than most available locally or online because they have a high cotton fiber content. The size medium was a good fit for my 24-lb. English Cocker Spaniel except that the waist measurement was too large. The tabs are plenty long for wrapping, but, like other reviewers, I had to sew additional velcro onto the back panel so that I could pull the tabs in further. I then used a safety pin to hold the long free ends of the tabs overlapping and criss-crossing together. The absorbent area is probably correctly placed for an incontinent female dog, but a female in heat bleeds just beneath the tail, not in the center of the diaper, so I had to use a woman's maxi-pad with adhesive backing inside of the diaper. This arrangement worked well for avoiding frequent washings, too. As others have noted, the blue dye in the denim fabric bleeds, so I washed mine by hand. They take a very long time to dry even in the machine. Overall, a well-made product, but more ability to adjust the waistband would make it even better.

the diaper with back wings

This washable diaper runs very big and the vekco on the back is very small. I am going to have to buy additional velco to make it work. The Petco brand disposable diapers were the best I've ever used. I really wish those would be restocked. As for a washable diaper, the simple solutions is much better. Simple Solutions diposables leak like crazy. PLEASE bring back the Petco brand disposable diapers!!!

I really like thse little panties for my old Maltese. She has bladder control issues and these fit the need. Since they have velcro closures the panties fit nicely and stay on. My dog doesnt mind wearing them and I sure have less clean ups now.

I have 2 small dogs that would get up at night and urinate. They were to lazy/cold to go outside and would urinate in the house. Using the reuasable diapers has eliminated cleaning up puddles every morning. The diapers are holding up well to frequent washing.

REUSABLE PET DIAPER

We adopted a female Springer Spaniel from a former coworker of mine. She had not been spayed, and went into heat literally right after we adopted her. I tried EVERYTHING imaginable to control the mess, from disposable diapers (which just fell off her) to my son's underpants turned backwards. We finally went and bought the Petco Reusable Diaper Garment, and it works BEAUTIFULLY! Stays on her firmly, and not one leak, with or without a pantyliner in place. She didn't like it at first, but now has grown used to it. I would recommend this to ANYONE who has a female that is in season...it's a LIFESAVER! Washes up BEAUTIFULLY too...and doesn't shrink!

I have multiple packs of unused diapers; the others fell off or leaked badly. With the side velcro grips, it's much easier to adjust and stays on. My dog does not seem so distressed by wearing this diaper versus the others.

Washable Doggie Diapers

They work wonderfully. Put this on my boys and girls so no one has accidents on my carpet. Love them. I have Shelties and ordered the large for the boys and they are plenty big. Added some velco and they work great. If you have more then one dog and want to eliminate anyone making a mess this works great. Boys don't like it but it saves the carpet.

I got this for my german boxer lab after her first season. we covered all the furniture and closed the doors to all the bedrooms but I was still cleaning a lot. so we thought we would cover her instead, I use a kotex inside they stay in place just fine. she doesn't seem to like getting them on, but she has learned quickly that she has no choice. they don't seem to bother her at all once they are on and now the only thing I have to clean is her diaper!

Good product but needs improvement

I recently purchased the large-sized blue denim diaper garment for my 11-yr-old female boxer who developed incontinence just within the past month. As recommended by the Petco site, I also bought the Diaper Garment Pads. After finding myself always scanning the carpet and floor for puddles to clean up (since almost no urine would come out when she tried outside, it would release while she was relaxing/sleeping), I was really hoping these products would be terrific. But there are some problems: 1) the denim gets soaked even from a small amount of liquid, and this pad and any other feminine ones I tried just did not solve; 2) the denim fabric is nice, but even after washing both diapers in the sink several times already, the color still bleeds badly and the garment takes a lot of hot dryer time to dry. I am going to try next adding puppy pads folded up inside to absorb the liquid- if that can be accomplished, this product would be a lifesaver. And it is constructed well- the dog just doesn't seem to mind having it on her and I can take it off quickly when she needs to go outside.
