Great scratcher/bed!

I own one cat and have fostered about a half dozen more, plus the ones I've taken in cat-sitting. All of them use this product, either as a scratcher or a bed. Sometimes they'll even use it as a way to play with each other by hiding behind it or chasing each other around/over it. It's gotten a lot of use in my house by several kitties.

My big kitty Lexy loves lounging on this hammock. I wasn't sure it would hold him since he weighs 17 pounds but he loves sleeping on it! He loves that he can scratch his paws on it also. I am happy I got it for him!

Both of my cats have always loved cardboard scratchers, of various shapes/sizes. I liked the way this one looked so decided to give it a try. After an adjustment "what's this?" period, one of my cats has adopted it as her spot. She uses it as a scratcher but more so as her personal "chaise lounge"! The only draw back would be that if you try to use the other side the angle is too sharp for laying on. It's been very sturdy but I just bought 2 more...just in case!

I paid over $100 for a fancy cat tower and my Tonks Kitty gets on it maybe once a month; I brought this home a few days ago and she barely gets off of it! She loooooves to scratch at the cardboard and she sleeps on it all the time. You can't beat this for $11.99. Tonks Kitty is very small for an adult cat, though, so I can see this not being big enough for a regular-size kitties.

My cat does not care for sisal rope-type scratch posts, and often ignored them. She was unaffected by cat nip, and soothing sprays did not help, She instead took her claws to the couch and my other furniture. I finally had to cap her claws to get her to leave the furniture alone.
Now about a year later, I saw one of these cardboard-type scratches and decided to try it out. My cat absolutely adores it! She hasn't scratched the furniture once since I got it for her. And on the plus side, since I keep it next to my work station, she lays down on it next to me to relax and nap. The cardboard is also more firm than I had thought (I thought it would be like a cardboard box and not last too long, but it's actually quite sturdy!) and I can see it lasting years, especially since it can be flipped over after one side gets too scratched up. I now plan on buying more cardboard-type scratchers so my cat can finally have a happy place to scratch.
I whole heartedly recommend this product, especially for people with cats that don't care for traditional scratch posts.

It's an inexpensive scratcher/lounger, so I wasn't expecting it to look amazing. And, it looks like exactly what it is: a cardboard scratcher/lounger. However, I have a full Maine Coon and a half Siamese (both large babies) and they love it! Both cats can lay on it without it bending or folding, and the half Siamese has done her level best to try to tear the thing up to no avail. So, it's perfectly fine with me that it isn't beautiful, it's standing up against the wear and tear of two very large cats with very sharp claws!
(that said, I did deduct 1 star due to the SUPER cheesy "decorative" edges... C'mon, folks, the cats don't care what it looks like, but I do! Would have been better as a solid color - with maybe that as an option? - than the funky patterns along the edges)

I have a number of cats. Most have enjoyed this a lot. But, the shape of the product got crushed by my cats within a few days. I kept it out and they have shredded it to pieces. So, generally a fine product....but don't expect the shape to hold up to those who may desire to use it as a bed.....especially if said cat is a rather...."fluffy" shall we say? ;-)

I would not recommend this product. It looks nice, but it started falling apart within one week. Within three weeks it had broken into pieces. And it was being used by one 6-month old (so not big) cat.

My cat was a terror when we first got her, she tore up the walls of our place and destroyed clothes; it was horrid. Buuuut then I found this one day and after several minutes of frustration trying to put it together, I put it on the floor and without the catnip, she went straight to it. It's good for them to lay on, sleep on, and just relax on. My husband loves it, I love it, and our cat loves it. It's a definite must buy thing.

My cat loves this scratcher, and she started using it the day I brought her home from the shelter.
It did collapse after a some time, but she still used it.
I just bought another one, after a year, because it was so well used.

I have 3 babies(adult cats) when put together in the hammock style, none of them would touch it, due to it being unstable when they jumped on it. But upon my caregivers suggestion of laying them flat side by side they worked beautifully.
*Note* ours was wrapped around the rung of a metal thin legged chair to add support as they scratched..Now my babies can't get enough. I will definately be purchasing this item again..

This was a cnristmas gift for our pets. I opened it and put it together and I thought it was great. One pet sat on it and he only weighs seven pounds and it broke into 6 pieces. Highly disappointed because I always purchase the cardboard toys from petco and never ran into this. Now I have small pieces of cardboard all over the living room.

We bought this product for our two kitties, and they loved it! So...we purchased three more. The first one we opened collapsed within a few days. Which was really disappointing since we stocked-up on the product to have them handy for replacement.

My cats love it as a scratcher, but as soon as one of them climbed on it, it collapsed and would not go back together again...would be great for kittens.

This is by far my cat's favorite scratcher, and she has many scratchers to choose from. She uses it as both a scratcher and as a lounger. I placed it in front of the door and she sits on it, watching the squirrels and chimmunks from a safe distance. She also likes to lay on her back and scratch underneath!
The only problem is that the legs broke after about 6 months. She still uses it, but it's not as sturdy.

I have a 12 lb cat and a 2 lb kitten and after one day of playing with it one of the legs broke. They really do like it and can still be played with but I feel it should of made better.

My cat went totally nuts when I put this together. She uses it several times a day, and loves sleeping on it in the evenings.
I never thought she would like something more than her original scratcher, but she does. So much so that she does not like her older "sister" using it at all and chases her away.
We've already bought extras, as I know she will not want to be without one for more than a minute when it comes time to replace it.
Thanks for a great product.

My 2 cats absolutely love this product, however it is not very durable. The cardboard does not hold up well enough for the cats to lay on it as a hammock. The legs seem to buckle uder their weight. My cats are only 9 and 11 lbs., but the legs buckle after only one week. So a bit disappointing for an $18.00 piece of cardboard. At least they still use it for scratching.

I have two male (brother) cats and they absolutely love this. The get possessive of it and have a hard time sharing it. They even use it to rest on. Def recommend!
