Would Recommend For Small/Medium Sized Cat

"It seems many love and a few hate this box. I would guess the size of the cat has something to do with this. I'm a big fan myself. I have a 9 lb female dsh and I'm about to buy my 3rd box (I buy a new one every 1-2 yrs). It's a good size for my cat and for me the fact that my kitty likes digging/scattering litter, the shape works pretty well if/when I clean off the walkway. My cat still will go on plastic or my clothes if I let her but I clean the box everyday and she uses it everyday.
I'd buy one of those electronic devices if I had the cash to spare; since I don't I'll stick with this."

Perfect litter box

"This is the best litter box on the market. I have a couple of larger cats and they fit perfectly. The design keeps the dog out of the box so she can't make a mess. The ramp knocks off excess litter so I'm not sweeping all the time. I recommend this box to everyone I know who has a cat."

"I ordered this after seeing so many of them on the net for at least twice the price PETCO is selling it at. The price was great and the delivery was so quick I was actually surprised how quick we got it. Our cat took right to it, no smell, and best of all no litter pellets all over the house!"

"I read many positive reviews on domed litter boxes before settling on the Booda Clean Step. While I like how the steps help to contain most of the normally tracked out litter, there is one MAJOR design flaw. If and when a cat fails to squat properly, and urine hits back wall of the dome near the stairs, niether the dome nor the base catch the urine. Even with a litter box liner pulled up on the outside of the dome, urine can still esape the dome and reach the floor. Bottom line: Cat urine belongs inside the litter box, not on the floor. This box was a waste of money."

"I bought this litter box as we have 5 cats and 2 of our cats are very big. The smaller cats have their own litter boxes, but they were not big enough for Caesar and Cleo. Big mistake!! The urine runs down the ramp and litter clumps on the steps and needs to be cleaned with a brush. Also, since the cats are so big, their heads rub against the top and sides of the dome. I assume because Caesar is male, he urinates on the sides of the litter box..needless to say their heads end up smelling like urine! Even after cleaning the litter box very thoroughly, it still smells like urine. A big waste of money."

"We have three cats and need 4 litter boxes scattered around the house. These boxes are completely covered to keep our 2 small children out and our dog from stealing his tastey snacks. They also contain the smell and don't look horrible. The only problem is only two of our three cats will use it. Which is fine for us because we have a regular covered box for the third one."

"I really liked this litterbox since it cut down on smell and kept my dog out. The big problem was my cat hated it. She used it once when I first bought it and after that she preferred to just go on my clothes. I changed back to my old pan and she's using the litterbox again. Although this box looks big, the actual litter box part isn't and she couldn't maneuver in it. Urine also leaked out of the connection between top and bottom which is annoying."

"This is my 4th and last litter box--I have no need for another. My DSH (domestic short-hair) jungle-cat outgrew the Omega Paw and the one with the swinging door. But this beauty is a great size and contains all odors!!!!!
I have recommended this box to all cat-parents that I know and they love it too!"

"This is by far the best litter box EVER!!! It is worth every penny. I live in a small house with 2 cats and 3 large dogs, this litter box keeps the majority of the litter in the steps (I just vacuum up the litter in the steps once a week), the design of the litter box keeps the dogs from eating the litter (i know thats wierd, dogs have there own ways), I think my cats just go in there to play half the time, also it's so simple to just lift the lid off and scoop out potty. I do wish there was a way to lock the lid on to the base, but no biggie. I have owned this box for over a year now and its just great every Kitty house hold should own one!!"

"I was so hopeful about this box, but found a variety of things that have been annoying at least, or a big hassel at most.
- I hoped the ramp would help keep the litter trail down in my house, but my little girl jumps down the ramp rather than walking, so not much good.
- I also found if she aims towards the ramp, the urine sometimes runs down and puddles in the ramp.
- The kidney shaped litter area is harder to scoop with a flat ended scoop since there is no flat end to scoop up to.
- The box is larger for its litter area size versus traditional square boxes and much harder to dump when trying to do a full cleaning/litter change.
- While there is a handle on the top, there is no latch or clip securing the lid to the box so it cumbersome to move, even brand new from the store."

"I found it to be as large as a piece of furniture and terrible in terms of keeping the litter in the box. It appeared that the cats dragged more litter out than less, leaving me with more to clean up off the floor and tons to dig out of the stairs with a brush. The top you have to argue with to get to close correctly. The concept is good, the product is not quite right."

"Have been looking for something to decrease the amount of cat litter our felines seem to deposit all over our house (we use the crystals). We are very pleased with the results of this product. Although we are not 100% litter free, there has been a very significant decrease."

"Our kitty outgrew her litterbox so we've been looking for a good replacement, this definitely did the trick. Before this clean step litter box Zuzu would get litter everywhere and had trouble with her litter box size. Thankfully, she really took to this and it solved those problems.
She loves it so much she's taken to playing in it and protecting it from anyone who touches it. Ya, it's a little bit on the large size but it's really not a problem for me and I live in a fairly small space.
So, in short it's eliminated that litter box smell, is much more attractive than her last litter box, has not had any leaking problems and she loves it. Overall, we're very satisfied and happy she's become so fond of it.
Great idea."

Fantastic but Large

"I love the Booda Dome I recently purchased for my two cats. It stops all of the problems I was having with my regular litter pan: it prevents excessive litter being flung out of the box and onto the floor, keeps litter tracking down to a minimum, and stops waste from being on the edge of the box (as any covered box would do). The odors are at a minimum thanks to the filter, and I love the little igloo type design. The only part I have any difficulty with is cleaning the litter out from the "stairs", which can only really be completely cleaned by using a vacuum. Otherwise, I am in love with this litter box!"

"We found this litter dome to be excellent! It helps to keep down the amount of litter on the outside of the box and gives the 'cat' privacy. It has a filter and does not smell like our other non-covered box.
It is rather large and would not work well for some small spaces. We keep ours in the kitchen due to the size."

"The litter cleaning steps are quite the novel idea and a good one as it eliminates the need for a carpet under the box. The fact that the cat is totally enclosed when doing his/her business keeps the surrounding area free of messes, which is why i chose this pan. That and i was unsure if my cats would use a pan with a door. If a liner is desired for it, there should be a better way to secure it as the liners do not conform to the pans shape to well and do not want to stay in place all that good."

"We had one of these given to us as a gift probably about a year ago and absolutely love it! When we considered getting our new kitty we decided to get another one and still love them. Not only are the colors subtle and blend very well but we have one in our living room and you can't even tell its a litter box. One of the best things made for cats. I hear its pretty easy to clean too, but the bf gets that job! Hahaha."
