Replacement grass with NO holes

When I bought the whole package for the first time, it worked great and my puppy started to use it right away. But when I switched to a new replacement grass, my puppy slowly stopped using and it started to smell really strong. I found out that the new replacement grass did not have any holes so the urine was just sitting on the grass instead of drain through the grass... Not a good experience.

I bought this for my doxie mix puppy who is not yet housebroken. She wouldn't even go near it. She won't use the wee wee pads so I thought maybe the potty patch would work, but sadly it didn't. Maybe it will work for other dogs, but my dog just refuses to use it.

Potty Patches are Great

I love them! I live in a condo with a balconey, and the dogs potty there when we can't go outside, or when they feel like it. I also use the absorbent pads & change them daily. The rest of the materials(fake grass, grill & tray) are easy clean. Would highly recommend these.

Not found product to be as advertised

So far all my dog has done is sniff it and has not even attempted to try it out. The advertising on the box says "all dogs love it". I definately don't think it's worth the money paid for it.

I purchased this product because I was tired of buying the training pads. I just adopted a puppy in January and ended up going through about 50 pads in just under a month. The idea for this product is great and you just put it in the same place where you had the training pad(s). The only down side is cleaning it, you don't want to wait until it is filled with urine. If you clean it every 2-3 days it should be okay. The easiest way to clean it is in the tub with a mild deodorizing soap and warm water.

Potty Patch

I am about to try this, I read that it smells horrible, obviously after the dog has done its business, it don't smell like roses, but...there are things to get rid of animal smells, my cat went on carpet, I tried everything and then a friend said they used baking soda and peroxide mixture, and woohooo it worked, after applying and drying a couple of times, the smell is gone, so I am guessing it will work on this also. I have a puppy and don't want to keep buying pads I am spending lots of money that I wish to use on other things, good luck to all !!

This product is terrible. There is no way for the Urine to go through the fake grass to the part underneath.

Bottom tray came broken but the shipping box was fine. She has yet to really use it for anything other than her #2. My vote is still out on this item thus far.

Must have

The potty patch is a must have in our househould. There aren't a lot of convenient spots to take our little chihuahua/terrier mix Berkeley out in our neighborhood. And fortunately we have a nice-sized patio where we keep the potty patch.
She runs to the door and either looks at us or cries a little and we jump up, she does her business and she's back in without us having to really get up and put on shoes/jacket, etc.
I typically clean the patch about every other week, soaking the grassy area in some Mr Clean/water mix a couple of times, and scrub the plastic. And we replace it about every three months.
The only think I would change is having the grassy area available for purchase as well, since that needs to be replaced much more frequently than the rest. And it seems like such a waste to keep throwing away the plastic parts.
Still cheaper and longer lasting than most alternatives and we highly recommend it.

My little chihuahua loves it. All I did was set it up in the bathroom, put a little P-P attractant on the grass, and WOW! My puppy has never had an accident anywhere else in the house.

The good and the bad

I have a love/hate review regarding the potty pad.
The love: I have two small breed dogs and they are really good about using the potty pad. Since we live on the 4th floor, there are times that it works so much better then going out to let them do their business. They always go on the pad and there aren't any accidents around the edges. Very helpful product.
The hate: This thing smells bad. I mean, horrible, stenchy, disgusting bad and I clean it frequently. It's impossible to completely get out the odor from the faux grass and I've used everything! I would only use this outside. If you live in a high rise and can't always take your dog on a potty walk, it should be fine. Clean it often.

Pet Loo

My 3 month old Pomeranian took to the Pet Loo after dealing with the puppy pads she was chewing and shredding after use much better than expected. She ripped it apart slightly but not like I expected she would and it doesn't look like she has shredded since the first day. The only drawback is trying to lift it after its been used. I use an manual wheelchair for mobility. The slits on the sides cause the urine to spill right out unless you can lift it exactly level. Nothing is ever made for my abilities I always have to adapt but the manufacturer could create a better design for this issue with some creativity. There is no reason for the slits on the side of the hold tray.

I bought this for my 4lb puppy. I am very impressed with it. It looks like real grass and is super convenent. I put a tranning pad under to help with the smell. However, I wish that the mat was dryer safe. Unless the sun is out and you can put it outside, it takes hours for it to dry. Other then that I really like this prouduct!

Potty Patch has helped big time!

It is awesome! Doggie took to it with no issues...although it is stinky easy and hard to clean up. And best to buy an extra grass pad...or two..as it takes forever for other one to dry...you don't want to just throw it in your dryer! LOL :) so get an extra pad...it will help a lot..
Overall I love it for our doggie...got the big one and plan to use it for all puppies we have coming :)

My puppy wanted nothing to do with this thing! She prefers going outside. If she had to go inside, it was always on the opposite side of the room from this thing.

I actually bought this for a 3 yr old cat that I adopted. She was used to going outside. She took right to it (to urinate) and uses a litter pan for her other business! :)

My Already Housebroken Adult Dog Uses It No Problem!

I rescued a 5 yr old chihuahua from the shelter. A couple weeks after having her and never having left her home alone longer than 3 hrs I got stuck in Jury Duty for 12 hrs. I felt horrible that my poor little girl had to hold her urine that long. I got home expecting to find a mess and would have been fine with it giving the circumstances but she held it. I decided I needed a potty patch should I get stuck away from home again and for when I went back to work full time. I bought it and had it by the back door ( away from where she eats /sleeps) I had her sit on it and check it out and give he treats on it so she got familiar to it but wasnt sure she would ever urinate on it since she was well housebroken. One day I got home from work and found urine in it and pointed to the urine and praised her and gave her treats. Then I found urine more often, then in the morning i found urine so i dont even have to get up in the middle of the night so she can relieve herself. just now i was in the other room and she went on it. she hasnt in front of me yet but when i go to clean it after she goes I always praise her and give her treats. its very easy to clean. you can remove the top 2 layers and rinse off the tray that holds the urine in the shower or take it outside and spray it off with a hose. after that i wipe it dry with a paper towel and spray the other 2 layers with method all natural non toxic pet safe cleaner and put it back together. It never smells and about once a month I take it outside and scrub all parts down with soap and hose water. If she were to start taking dumps on it, id have to clean it much better each time. Im so happy she took to this product so easily. i didnt think she would. its highly recommended. i even moved it away from the door by about 5 feet so i wasnt stepping on it when i want to go out the back door (which i do about 3x a week) and where i moved it to against another walls he was fine with using it there too so i just keep it there now and its never in my way. great product !!

It's great for puppy training, but if you don't have an easy, convenient way to clean it (like you live on the first floor and have a hose outside), it's a pain. I wish it were bigger, too, even for puppies and up to medium-sized dogs.
