Fairly easy to put together. You really need a second pair of hands to help hold pieces in place while the other person puts the screws in to place. All doors secure really well any bird will have a hard time escaping. I have bought another Prevue cage and it was also very well constructed. The cage is on solid castors which make it easy to move for cleaning etc. As other reviewers have mentioned the seed catcher is not even mentioned in the instuctions on how to put together. I can could see some having problems with the seed catcher cause it is kinda tricky to put together.

Sturdy, Looks, Nice, But...

This is a good, sturdy cage, attractive, and it went together fine. However, I wonder at the reasoning in the design. My cockatiel can climb well on the cage side horizontal bars, but the vertical ones on front and back of the cage are very difficult for him to grasp without sliding down. Perhaps it was necessary to have vertical bars, but if not, a redesign might be better. My bird is over 15, and was used to completely horizontal bars. Owners with older birds might give this a thought. He hasn't yet been able to come out of the cage by himself, or go to the top due to the larger framework. Also I have as yet been unable to come up with a perch arrangement that will allow him to easily access his food bowls, without placing them so that they interfere with opening the food doors, or so that he poops into the food. Any tips would be helpful.

Bought the cage after extensive research. Petco had the best price online. The cage delivered free w/ tax beats all their competitors in store pre-tax prices. Free shipping & delivered to my home in less than 72hrs.
Cons: Instructions vague, just use a little commonsense. Because of the squared corners, and opening, and the location of the upper bird dropping drawer, it limits the birds climbing abilities between the upper part of the cage and the opening. May have to add accessories to make birds movements between the inside and outside more easily accessible from top to bottom.

Great Cage, Beautiful When Assembled

It is a great cage, great finish, nice perches, and amazing materials were used in the construction. My only complaint is with the assembly instructions. The images are poorly drawn, and the instructions are a little confusing. The biggest draw back is with the seed guard. The instructions include nothing about them. They do not tell you how to put them on, or even that you have them. It is not that difficult to put them on the cage, I mean if I can do it anyone can. But it would have been nice if they at least mentioned them. It would be nice if Petco could get in touch with the manufacturer and ask them to redo their instruction manuals. But, as far as cages go...this one is the tops.
