"I bought the medium size kennel for my rabbit. The kennels is very easy to set up. I would prefer a clear plastic so that I will be able to see my pet better. The kennel is easy to clean with soap and water. The price for these kennels were definitely too high for plastic. A different color choice would be nice for this product, but overall, I am happy with my purchase."

"I purchased this crate initially to have a save place for our miniature poodle inside the house and to house train her. We placed it in the kitchen area which opens up to the family room. Since, she would stay in it for extended periods of time, we bought it one size bigger (medium instead of small) than what they recommended since we wanted her to have enough room to stretch and sit. It's great for training and I love the fact that if I need a break or to step away and cannot watch her I can just put her in her crate. She sleeps in it at night and takes her naps there as well. We also took it with us when we went camping and put it inside our tent, so it served well as her own separate area. It was very useful during the car trip because it kept her calm and away from me while driving. Strong and durable plastic, and easy to clean with soap and water when she's had accidents. I've used it only indoors or in covered area, so I don't know how it performs outdoors."

"I use the Petmat Classic Kennel for taking my cats to the vet. One of my cats gets very stressed riding in the car and usually has an accident in his carrier on the way to the vet. I have started putting kitty litter in the bottom of it for the trip. Also, I can easily get my cats into it by standing it up on end."

"I have many cats and find these hard carriers a godsend. My cats feel more protected and can see out. They are easy to clean and the wire door is easy to manage. I have found replacement screws at the hardware store for about $2. A cardboard box is adequate and more affordable, but some cats won't allow you to drop them into the box. I layer the bottom with a small towel to ensure dryness if he pees, which still allows room to move around."

"I have two bichons under 6 months of age and these Petmate Classic Kennels have been a sanity saver for me! They use them as dens and sleep in them at night. Best of both worlds! They arrived in a matter of a few days and went together easily. They solved my problems perfectly!"

"We have a small size for the cats and medium for our small husky. The cats aren't happy to go into the crate- but no cat is :(! Although they aren't the happiest cats, they stay in it and it's very sturdy. Our small husky had the smaller crate for a while and loved it until she couldn't get the front half of her body in it. We got her the medium sized one and she ran right into it and wouldn't get out! She is a chewer and has tried to get out of this one, but it didn't work. We had her in a cloth crate and she was climbing over the seats instead of staying in her crate. This crate is good for all animals!"

"I bought this carrier because it was time for the annual trip to the vet and my smaller cat did not have a carrier as it had gotten lost when we moved. This carrier is durable and my cat fits in it comfortably. Although he doesn't like being confined or being in the car, he hasn't been able to escape from this carrier like he did in the previous one."

"bought a med size and paid less for it than the size smaller and my little dog seems to really love it. She can move around freely and sleep in it longer than she did with the smaller one. Well worth the purchase!"

"With 4 well fed healthy cats and very little time, I take all of them to the vet for their yearly check ups at the same time. I feel much more secure in their safety when they are in their carriers in my car. I like the fact that they come appart for easy cleaning and nest for storage. Over the years some of the hardware holding the top to the bottom has become lost or broken. I've tried many different ideas to make a replacement, but none are as good as the origanls. I think it would be a real money maker and great idea to put replacement hardware in packages in the stores. I come from a large pet owning family and we all seem to be in the same boat. The carriers are very well made but over time the hardware becomes lost or broken."

"We have one of the Petmate Original Carriers for our small dog, Tucker, we're getting a new pup in a couple of weeks and we want a new kennel for the younster so we were looking to find one similar to the one we have for Tucker. We thought it would be hard to find, considering we have had Tucker for over eight years and the same kennel the entire time. We want the same kind of quality for the new larger pup! Tucker goes to his kennel all the time as a relaxation place on free-will and appears to like it.The quality is wonderfull its been taken apart many,many,many time to replace bedding and it still is in as good of condition as it was the day we got it... Our family loves this Kennel!!!"
