"I have a chihuaua and a chiweenie so I bought two of these in the 300 series to give them room. I put a Poochpad and a kennel mat that fits good. Kennel is good size for the $$ but not as sturdy as I expected or would have liked. Online purchases don't give accurate perception."

"There is nothing at all wrong with this kennel...except it is supposed to hold chiquaqua's...and it's just not tall enough to hold mine. I gave it 4 paws because it's made well, but it needs to be alittle taller. My dog needs a couple of more inches to be able to stand up all the way in it. He's a deer chiquaqua, and has longer legs, so he needs a little more room...besides this I have no complaints, but will return it because of this."

"This is a very affordable kennel. Although my puppy did chew the outside corners within a few days that in no way weakened the overall usability of the kennel. This one does not come with the water dish or food bowl for airline travel but it does work exceptionally well for crate training. I really love the screw & nut closures instead of the latches found on other kennels. Thank you to the Petco representative who pointed me to this kennel."

"My dog, a 20 pound Beagle/Terrier Mix Dodger (AKA The Artful Dodger) broke out of the 26 x 18.5 x 16 kennel after the fourth time she was in it. It wasn't the plastic parts she broke, which I wouldn't have been so shocked about, but she somehow bent the metal gate into the kennel and got out that way. The metal bars under the latch permantly so all she has to do now is pull on the gate with her paws in that spot and the gate pulls inward. Would not recomend this kennel at all."

"This kennel is perfect for transporting a medium-large rabbit to the vet or to visit family. Have used it several times and my bun loves it and is very comfy in it. It's not super fancy but it does the job. Just shove some towels or blankets in and your bunny will be perfectly fine."

"I bought two of the 300 series (24"L X 16.25"W X 14.75"H) carriers for my Maine Coon mix cats. I use them for trips to the vet and for long car trips (2-4 hr drive). Both carriers can fit end-to-end (both doors facing each other) in the back seat of a small car. They are *very sturdy* and easily hold my 12 lb male cat.
I wanted a carrier that was tall enough to allow my cats to sit up so that they are not forced to be hunched over or forced to stay laying down during a long trip. My male cat sits up at about 15" tall so the 300 series was just the right height without being too big.
I just moved from a 480 sq ft to a 720 sq ft apartment with patio storage so now I don't have to worry about where to keep the carriers when not in use.
These two carriers were a great investment and will last for many many years!"

"This carrier is sturdy, light and convenient. The door latch is very quick and easy to use. I have to say that, contrary to user YorkieMother's statement, this carrier is just fine for cats. You don't need to reach in and risk getting scratched to pull the cat out. You just tilt the carrier door-down and the cat slides out. The thing is smooth plastic, so there's no way the cat will hold on or anything and stay inside. It's just as easy putting the cat inside - tilt the carrier door-up, and quickly lower the cat inside, back legs first. The smooth walls and gravity help slide the cat both in or out.
And lastly, contrary to what YorkieMother says, the carrier is very easy to disassemble. In fact, the door is designed so that the moment the top comes off, the door comes off as well, as it is kept in place by the tension of the top-to-bottom latches - so you don't need to take the door off separately.
The only drawback with this carrier is that it's a little small, and depending on the temperament of your cat (or little dog) they may get a little claustrophobic. Works for me though, because my cat feels sheltered and protected in small spaces, and actually enjoys small containers :-)"

"I originally bought this for my Yorkie, but I use it ocasionally for my Siamese cat. Using it for Veternarian visits is a big no! Once your cat is inside you cannot get them out. You need the "jaws of life" when retrieving them. Litterally took 15 minutes to undo the nobs and gate to get the top off. I recommend this product for well trained dogs only. The product is a good investment since I've had mine 6 years. But if I'd get another one, it would be gate on top and easy clamp sides."

"After browsing through tons of various petmate carriers, I decided to try this one since it's the right size and price. It was shipped promptly, and much sturdier than the kennel cab I have at home (and also the inside dimension is a bit bigger than kennel cab large.) However, the door doesn't fit into the place properly and nor the hardware was included to cover the top door wires that stick out of the cage (not as pictured.) There isn't a ventilation at the rear of the cage, which I need for ship my dog as a checked in bag.
Despite above, I would recommend it for anyone who just wants a crate/carrier for in-home or to the vet use. VERY sturdy for sure!!"

I put an old towel in the bottom so my kitty had a soft surface to lie on. It is light and easy to carry.
I purchased the medium size for my cat (7 lbs.) so she could stretch out and be comfortable in it while taking her to the vet.
Overall an excellent product. Easy to clean."

"I recently bought (3) kennels for my new kittens. Kennel for the sale price was worth it. The only thing is that I didn't realize that the kennel was a little smaller than the one I purchased at the store for my original kitten, It was a little smaller in the height, width and length and it didn't have a food and water tray with it that you could store on top of the kennel like the original one I had bought in the store. But for the sale price, it was worth it because I had to buy a few. They really don't stay in them much. only to the vet and visiting and then they are let out of the kennel. Easy to assemble, I would recommend the product."

"I bought the medium size kennel for my rabbit. The kennels is very easy to set up. I would prefer a clear plastic so that I will be able to see my pet better. The kennel is easy to clean with soap and water. The price for these kennels were definitely too high for plastic. A different color choice would be nice for this product, but overall, I am happy with my purchase."

"I purchased this crate initially to have a save place for our miniature poodle inside the house and to house train her. We placed it in the kitchen area which opens up to the family room. Since, she would stay in it for extended periods of time, we bought it one size bigger (medium instead of small) than what they recommended since we wanted her to have enough room to stretch and sit. It's great for training and I love the fact that if I need a break or to step away and cannot watch her I can just put her in her crate. She sleeps in it at night and takes her naps there as well. We also took it with us when we went camping and put it inside our tent, so it served well as her own separate area. It was very useful during the car trip because it kept her calm and away from me while driving. Strong and durable plastic, and easy to clean with soap and water when she's had accidents. I've used it only indoors or in covered area, so I don't know how it performs outdoors."
