My cats get very excited when they smell Soulistic Tuna and Skipjack (Nirvana). They literally lick their bowls clean, which is amazing for my finicky Maine Coon cat. BEST wet cat food made...makes the cats' coats soft and shiny...and the odor of their litterbox leavings (solids) is dramatically reduced (because the ingredients are high quality, natural, and with additives (virtually none) kept to a healthy minimum).

I tried this from the pet store and loved it. I purchased a case of each of the varieties that I tried. The good karma chicken and the harvest pumpkin chicken. I bought the 3oz cans. The first can I opened had about half chicken and half of the tapioca starch fluid that they call gravy. A few more cans had so much starch I had to rinse it out because I did not want my cat having so much starch. Lets face it, we buy this food to avoid starch! I continued using the food and a few cans were properly filled so that the tapioca was not so overwhelming. I know how much meat my cat needs to eat and some of these cans had half the meat of other cans. I was hopeful that this food was going to work for us but if I have to open two cans and rinse out the excess tapioca then I am just wasting my money and I may as well go back to tiki cat and pay more but at least get consistently filled cans.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

one of my cats has food allergies, could never quite pin down what, despite taking out some items. he hated the medicated cat food Hills Z/D, but loves this, and hasn't had a reaction. the only downside is it's a bit 'soupy' so not a huge amount of actual meat in the can, but they love to gobble down the gravy.

What Happened to the Original Food?

My cats LOVED, this food in the past! They would eat it like it's going out of style, and now I think they were right! The previous version of the food smelled and looked like the real thing, everything was in Gravy and my cats were wild about it. Now the food is in Gelee, and they won't even go near it. :( The smell of the food is masked by the Gelee as well. I hope that the food will change back to the gravy version, for now I regretfully have to return the food. My kitties sure hope the other recipe will return, they'll be checking the website religiously waiting for the gravy to come back!

I have the worlds most finicky eater. I have tried to feed her only the best food for her health.I saw this and gave it a try. Well I never saw her go so crazy as she did when I gave her the chicken in gravy and the salmon.. If you love your cat buy this and they will love you a hundred times more.

I'm currently coaxing my cat off another addictive brand... He gets it as a treat on occasion but I'd like him to eat and like grain-free, natural foods most of the time. I wish it was ash-free but at least it is lower in ash than many brands. I have tried other brands which he eats very slowly or only drinks the gravy, this one is the first so far that he actually finishes. He has tried the good karma and chicken and pumpkin, which I've also read is good for sensitive stomachs which he has. I'm glad I found a grain-free canned food rich in gravy! My boy is a gravy fiend.

I have cats who are on a grain-free diet, and they love this food! The only problem is that sometimes they will lick all the gravy off and leave the food parts behind, especially if the chunks are too big. I've taken to trying to chop things up before I put it in their bowls, but they keep juping at the can trying to get to the gravy!

My cats eat any of the tuna/fish varieties of this stuff up and I'll tell you if there were to be some type of emergency and I was trapped with no food I wouldn't think twice about eating it too! It looks and smells like "real" food. And it's so economical for it's high protein / low carb content. My only complaint is the lack of selection. Due to mercury levels I won't feed my kitties tuna more than twice a week and neither like the chicken in Soulistic (again, I don't know why, looks good to me) but that really leaves me with no options but to go to other foods 5 days a week. I would love to hear of some other beef, duck or maybe turkey flavors. And there's always the rabbit and venison path to go down.... or would that jack up the price too much?

The cans are half the price of some of the other high end brands. Almost like a soup there's so much gravy.. My cat looks like he's about 25% bigger than he was a month ago when he started eating Soulistic. My only complaint is my cat hates fish and there are only 2 chicken flavors and no beef flavor. If you buy this in a store read the label' they use yellow for two different flavors and there's a different color for some of the flavors if they are in the pouches or cans

My two cats love this food. This food is very comparable to another brand that is twice as expensive and of similar quality and standards. In a bowl side by side you would not be able to tell the difference. I changed from that brand to this one and my cats did not seem to notice. They go crazy for this food at every meal time and they lick their bowls CLEAN! I set up repeat delivery because they can't seem to keep this food on the shelves of my local Petco. Thank you for such a great product at a very reasonable price.

Tried the gravy versions and still cats refused to even take a bite.. They must be ultra finiky because food looked to be of excellent quality to me..

My cat has changed his tastes over the years, becoming a very picky eater. I have been buying Soulistic for a few months. He loves it! The chicken looks better than my food! He actually goes back to finish if he doesn't eat it all in one sitting.

This is a little cheaper than some other "grain-free" brands and there are no fillers or by-products, which is great. There is about 90% amount shredded, white chicken in the Good Karma Chicken and the Harvest Sunrise Chicken and Pumpkin flavors with 10% gravy. The Chicken and Pumpkin has little pieces of diced pumpkin. My kitten loves both of these flavors and they seem filling. My problem is with the TUNA AND TILAPIA flavor. WHERE IS THE MEAT?! Seriously, it is a sad sight. It's basically tiny disintegrated flakes of fish meat in a WHOLE LOT OF GRAVY. I would have to feed my kitten 4 cans of the fish to equal 1 can of the chicken. I would not recommend the tuna & tilapia flavor for that reason...maybe the other flavors of fish are the same. Pretty upsetting.

I have a 17 year old female Persian and she absolutely loves this Soulistic cat food...especially the chicken and pumpkin flavor. She has become increasingly picky with her food and we were really surprised and grateful to stumble across this brand as it has so many wonderful flavors that she is now enjoying. If I cant get to a Petco, I have the option of having them send me a case of the food, which has been wonderful for me this winter.

This food is the best-priced all meat, no grain canned cat food I have found. Some cans seem to have more gravy than meat, but my cat loves all of the flavors.

This is an excellent food. The chicken variety consists of real shredded white meat that smells good enough for a human to eat. My cat loves the taste, but the gravy didn't seem to fill her up as much as the gelee, so now I buy only the gelee, which seems to be more satisfying to her.
Soulistic is less expensive than some of the other grain-free canned foods.

Soulistic is very good. No glutens and real fish . Food grade (human) quality is excellent.My cats love it.. Very healthy product as it contains much juice which is essential to cat health.

My picky kitty loves this food! So far I've tried a fish variety, the chicken, and the chicken and pumpkin and she loves them all. In fact she'll eat an entire small can without pausing. I've started mixing this in with her other food (I have a case of another brand that she used to like but now just wants to bury) and she'll eat everything in the bowl as long as the shredded chicken is mixed in.
There is a lot of water in this food, it tends to be the first ingredient, but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. One of the reasons I give my cat wet food is to make sure she's getting plenty of hydration, so this is fine with me. (It might bother other pet parents though.)

I dole out this chow in quarters, so it is refrigerated. A quick warming in the microwave has caused a small problem... My cat thinks the beeping means he's getting fed! Microwave now equals the old can opener sound.
FYI: the "gravy" products are a bit watery.
