I ordered the large so it would be long enough for our terrier/doxi, but it is a little big around the belly. Still overall it fits great. I am disappointed that the metal grommet came out. For the price of the raincoat, it was really upsetting especially since he's a little dog with no real wear and tear on the grommet itself. The coat is quality otherwise and I love that it is soft and lined.

I purchased this raincoat for my Schnauzer about 2 weeks ago, and it works fine (we haven't had appreciable rain since I bought it). She has tried it on, and it fits fine and is very becoming to her. The coat appears to be veryw ell made, and I don't think she's going to outgrow this one.

I looked at raincoats all over the internet and found this one and loved it. When It came it confirmed my thoughts. Of course she isn't happy having it on but it does protect her from the weather. As she is a Morkie she is small and it fits her perfectly and she is so darn cute in it. Would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a raincoat for their furbaby.

This is made well and closes easily with the velco straps. It is easy to put on my dog and he does not mind at all. Covers him well and since it is bright yellow he is not overlooked in the rain.

I had to send this back as it was a little too big for my Lhasa .. I'm waiting for the smaller size to be delivered this week .. but overall... beautiful raincoat with nice lining .. hope the next size down fits her well .. greatest feature is that if it doesn't fit, I don't have to mail it back, I can take it back to the Petco store that I frequent.

This is a perfect raincoat, complete with hood--though that goes too far over the eyes.
It is long enough over the back, almost to the tail. The under neath covers the abdomen well, while the broad Velcro give it a snug but comfortable fit. Nice across the chest as well. Chichi looks very smart and loves it!

Love the raincoat. Doodle is a Dachshund and of course long. This coat really covers her all the way. The hood works great to keep her head from getting wet but sometimes she can't see and we have to fold it back. Nice quality and good price.

The sizing is difficult if you have a long dog. Had to return it and purchase a smaller one. But I found that they run big. Great mobility for the dogs. Not restrictive when they want to run and play with it on.

The Bonheads raincoats that I bought for my girls were absolutely beautiful, with warm lining and fully adjustable velcro closures at the chest and belly. They were soft and flexible, and quiet. They were large however, because this was my first purchase of this kind for them and I didn't know exactly how to size them. I was able to effortlessly exchange them at a local Petco for coats of the proper size. The service was quick, helpful and effortless. Thank you Petco! Now we are set for keeping our exercise routine regardless of the weather! ~~rainbird

I have a dog who grew up in the desert and is now living in Oregon. He has never been fond of water, but now that it has started raining, he is terrified to go outside. We bought this raincoat to try to help him.
The raincoat is of good construction. I like that it has fabric on the inside. That way the dog doesn't spook when it crinkles. The two straps make it easy and quick to put on and take off. The product loses one star because the hood doesn't really stay on.
Sizing seems odd. I have a medium size dog (around 50-60 pounds) and he takes a XXXL. But that size fit him pretty well. The measurements provided were accurate, just seems like it wouldn't fit a big dog.
All in all, we are happy with the product.

It never stops raining here once the spigot is turned on.I was hoping to find something to keep 2 dogs (Border Collie..Pitador)dry...These raincoats are FANTASTIC! I actually purchased the 4xl for both dogs.The pitador,Lotus, fits in hers nicely.She is built like a linebacker,so the Velcro around her chest fit good unmodified.The Velcro under the belly was tied in a knot to take up some slack,otherwise it was too long.Head to tale was great.The border collie,Max,had to have both the chest and belly tied shorter.He is a lot thinner,but a little longer than Lotus.Both dogs are the size of small German shepherds.Would have been concerned that smaller sizes would have left the length,head to tail ,too short.Don't know that for sure,but these provide excellent body length coverage at this size.I walk them using a Premier brand easy walk harness...it fits over the coats after they are on and I have no problems what so ever.Coats dry quite quickly hanging in garage.Hoods are useful if pinned to not droop in to the dogs faces...They don't like that,but help keeping there top neck and shoulders from getting wet...Wish i had these long long ago

The quality of this raincoat is excellent! I expect that it will last a very long time. My friend bought a different kind for her Bichon and I made her take it back! I'm waiting for a medium to come back in stock so I can order one for her. I highly recommend this coat for any size dog.

I used Petco's measurements and both raincoats are way too large. My girls usually wear a Size M (Bichon Frise & Chinese Crested) Both my girls are the same size. Petco's measurements said XL so that is what I ordered. Holy cow...shock and awe...2 sizes too big. Now I have to return and get proper size which is an inconvenience. Order the size your dog regularly wears....

I really love this rain coat for my Chinese Crested Powder Puff! It very soft and has a nice warm underside to the coat. It has a very nice hood as well and I must say it is very cute!

loved the coat ..it did the job of rain protection , fits well but the opening to attach leash is too small and I had to use an old leash, nd buy new one..so be aware of this problem.

I love the material and the quality of this raincoat! However, the sizing is just too big. I followed the measurement, and got the size recommended, but two sizes down would have been much better. I had to return the raincoat to the petco store, and purchased a different one because they do not carry this specific coat in-store.

According to the size chart, if the dog measures 19 inches from neck to base of tail, you should order an XXL. I did and it was way too big. I read all 38 reviews to get some help on which size to order. I tried an XL and it fit perfectly.
My dog measures 23inches around the tummy and is 19 inches from neck to base of tail. He is a Schnauzer and weighs 32 lbs.Hope this helps.

This product met every expectation I had (and some) the under belly velcro makes for a quick dress and the leash hole is helpful. However the hole is not that large - a standard leash clip will fit just fine, however a larger one may not.
