"I have three of these doghouses and have had them for close to three years and will be buying another one for my new chocolate lab. My dogs love them; and I've never had a problem with them. It keeps them warm and dry in the winter. My only complaint is they don't want to get out of their houses in the winter. I discovered them from reading an article in Consumer Digest."

"at any price. The house is very sturdy and well insulated. My dogs are rescues and are leery of anything novel. They were afraid to go in initially, but I placed their food in the house everyday and added a little canned catfood to make it irresistible. After a few weeks, they were used to the houses. My large dog is very destructive but cannot harm this house. The door is so sturdy I don't think he can pull it off. I added an AC/heater combination to my houses and it worked very efficiently with the insulation this house provides. I feel confident that my dogs will be safe and comfortable all year round. This house is a real bargain for what you get."

"This dog house is very well built and easy to put together. The door seems a little heavy though. It is a little too hot in there in the summer. It will be great for the fall spring and winter months. My dog was alittle afraid of the door, but after putting acouple of pieces of cheese in the dog house he was going in and out like a pro. I like how easy it is to move around too."

"nice construction and features. with advice from other reviewers i propped the door open since the weather is nice, to give the dog a chance to get used to her house. eventually (prolly when it gets cooler) i will unprop the door. everything about its design is nice. very quick and easy to assemble!"

My Lab's New Home

"I am so happy! After 1 week, treats in the doghouse, yummy bones in the doghouse, an orthopaedic dog bed in the doghouse (purchased separately), a heated dog kennel bed as a base in the doghouse (purchased separately), and after I climbed in there to snuggle, and propped open the front door, my lab has taken to her new home. She was quite wary at first...keep in mind she has been in a vet's kennel for over 4 months during rehabilitation before I adopted her....but she loves it!!! I am so, so happy.
FYI: we propped the door open and that made a huge difference. I hope to let it down one day for extra comfort. We also drilled a hole in the kennel for the cord to the heated bed and when the hole opens, insulation beads poured out...watch out! I bought an extra large dog bed that did not fit.
Great, sturdy product...minimal assembly, extra quick shipping. Highly recommend to dog owners seeking a safe & warm dog zone for their family pet. My lab is 75 pounds and this dog house is a great size."

THE BIG EASY

"I put this together by myself in about 15 minutes. The hardest part was getting it out of the box. Everything goes together in a snap, with a total of 8 screws. Make sure you have a power screwdriver, this is very thick insulated plastic, predrilled holes but very long screws. Now for the reason I didn't give it a 5. The door should be removeable, and the threshold should be lower. I got this for my golden retriever and it is certainly big enough, she scared of the door so I tied it up and put her food inside but the threshold is another obstacle for her. Finally she got brave enough to put her front feet inside and eat her food but that is as far as she is willing to go. I tried this with the door in it's normal place and she would not even try to get to the food, so putting the door up helped. But there is nothing I can do about the threshold. After two weeks she still doesn't know what the house is for, but she is sure it is hers and won't let either of my other 2 dogs even smell it."

"I spent two days researching different dog houses for our new puppy (half husky, half akita). After reading several reviews myself, decided to purchase this one. It arrived three days after placing the order! Not much to putting this together either...it took about five minutes with my husband. Just make sure you put it together outside because it's too large to fit through a normal doorway (duh on our part). We are very happy with it's size since our dog will be about 75-100lbs as an adult. The only downfall we have noticed is that since she is still a puppy, the entrance door is a little high for her. But, with time it will be the appropriate height. Overall, this was a great purchase! Fast shipping, easy to put together, very roomy, and the overall quality and look of this house made this an excellent purchase!"
