Good For Short Periods

"I like this toy for her in small doses (5-10 mins once or twice a week), as a short term attraction while I do other things. I used lasers exclusively at first then moved to the 'feather flyers' because I thought she needed the satisfaction of actually catching the object of her chase and we needed to do something together. It was the best thing I could have done-- she seems happier now and more affectionate than she has ever been... The laser is still good for short periods of 'self-play'; she isn't as interested since the introduction of the flyers though. Go figure!"

"This is definitely one of the best toys I've ever purchased. I love the 15 minute timer with automatic shut off, as well as the option to use manually.
The random motion definitely keeps my cat's interest... and my dog's too! My lab loves this so much that I purchased a second one. just so I can set one up for the cats, and the other for the dog!
I've been using both of my Frolicat lasers for nearly a year now with no problems at all, and I'm still on the original set of batteries!
This product is definitely worth the price!"

"I just bought the FroliCat BOLT Laser Cat Toy and had looked at reviews for this and other similar laser toys. One of my cats who overgrooms due to boredom is absolutely fascinated by this toy. I am hoping this will assist in stopping his overgrooming and keeping him entertained ... so far it seems to be working!!! Really like the random patterns and although others have complained about the speed, it doesn't seem too fast. Both my cat and I are very happy with the purchase."

"A laser is the only toy that my fat cat will enjoy, and I was sick of buying the "keychain" ones because they die so easily and they are not very intense.
The automatic timer is pretty good. It moves pretty fast in case your cat sits in its line of fire with their eyes they won't be harmed. However, the pattern it moves is pretty random and gives a 'teasing' sort of motion, stopping at random intervals for only a moment. My cats seemed bored for a little while with it since it is quite fast, even in a small room. However, it does keep their interest up.
The thing is pretty big, the length of my forearm. Make sure you buy 4 AA batteries for it.
YOU MUST watch your cats even with the timer though, because if your cats are as smart as mine, they know they that the laser is coming from it and will try to look into the mirror, since it makes a small noise too. But even my spastic cat enjoys it, so I would recommend it to any pet owner!"

Worth the Money

"I am currently fostering a momma cat and her three kittens. They are in a separate room since I also have 3 cats. The mom loves the laser. I turn it on when I leave the room when I can't stay very long since it shuts off automatically after 15 minutes. The kittens (4 weeks old) can follow the laser with their eyes, but its too fast for them right now.
My 3 permanent house cats also love this toy. When they want to play, or they are too hyper, we will put them on the floor and turn the laser on. They wear themselves out quickly.
I highly recommend this cat toy."
