Pro's:
1. It's Classy and nice looking.
2. The opening flap seals very well do to the magnets all around the seams.
3. It installs fairly easy.
4. The secure metal panel that locks into place by twisting the handle is very sturdy!

Con's:
1. The flap openings height doesn't open as high as the dimensions. This is do to the arched top that does not allow the flap to open fully as if it were squared off like the bottom. You actually have to deduct approx. 2 to 3 inches off the top of the height when measuring the opening for your dog. Because of this I had to return the medium size for the large. I really didn't want to do this because a small person could actually crawl through it now. I have a Boston Terrier and he is 25 pounds and he wouldn't go through it because of the tight fit. Although they indicate that the medium would handle a dog up to 40 pounds. I guess a dog who doesn't care about tight spaces would probably get use to it eventually. My dog was just to nervous to use it.
2. It would be very helpful if the flap was more see-through. It's a light greyish rubbery flap (which seems to be very durable) that only shows shadows through it when something is up close to it.
3. If it's installed on an uneven surfaced door, you have to take into consideration that those designed grooves on the door will not be sealed from rain. The door I have to use it on is not covered with an awning. I will need to put up an awning or figure a way to fill in the holes (which are fairly large holes) and seal the seams where rain will get into it.
4. The magnets (on the bottom only) are not completely sealed by the rubbery flap. There's 3 metal pieces inside the rubber flap but the bottom is open to stick to the magnet strip. This maybe for a better sealing effect? But the sides are not done this way. This resulted in one of the metal pieces slipping out and sticking to the magnet bar instead of staying inside it's designed fitted whole. Not a big deal so far. Nothing a little super glue hasn't handled so far.
Overall, It's a nice looking, well sealed door. I would only recommend it for doors that are covered from the rain. With the few modifications I suggested It would get a 10 out of 10 rating. But as it is now I give a 6.

I received my door in December. I had it professionally installed in the month of March. In April my spoiled doggie decided she did not want to stay outside and ripped off the flap. It was in pieces. I called the company to see if I could get a replacement for it. They informed me that I had to buy a whole door again. Even though I like the door, if i knew that there were no replacement parts, I would not had purchased it. This is the only reason why I cannot recommend this product. I am out $100.00 and now have to pay another $80.00 to have a proper dog door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely thrilled with Delux Pet Portal! Our initial reason for getting the door was to eliminate the draft caused by leaving out basement door open for the kitties. My husband was able to install the door easily. The door is very discret and fits right into our decor. Our cats have never used a pet door before and we were a bit nervous that they woouldn't be able to figure it out, but in under 2 days they were going in and out of the door without any problems.

We actually got this door for my daughter's cat. It is sooo stylish-and we installed it on the door from our first floor to the basment so the style was important to us. Since it is inside our house the cute style was a big plus. WE also were able to get it on sale and it was shipped very quickly to us. I would recommend this to my pet loving friends!

This door was easy to install, keeps most of the cold drafts out of the house and has a nice alternative to the slide lock flap, which my cat seems to have no trouble opening. We installed it in the door between our laundry room and the garage.

just installed today, was pretty easy. magnets are strong, but the middle one fell out already but easy to put back. (might glue it in if it happens again) Really like the dead bolt. Over all very nice.

The only draw back is that all 3 magnets came out of the bottom of the plastic. The side magnets are great for keeping that baby closed and in the heat of AZ summers that is really important.
