"I bought this food on a recommendation and on the package, it said "Rat & MOUSE food" so I thought, hey, the pellets are rather large for mouse food but it says mouse food, too, right? Should be fine.
Well... needless to say, my little bitty mouse did not like nor want the pellets. She stared at the huge morsels like, "Excuse me, I'm supposed to eat THIS?"
I believe the most response we got was when she nibbled on a chunk for a minute, then gave up and wouldn't eat a bit. Or couldn't, I should say.
These chunks are way too large for a tiny mouse but I do think they would be PERFECT for a big rattie! So if you own a little mousey like me, don't bother - find something else wholesome with lots of seeds, berries, grains, etc. that the mouse can hold between her paws and stash away like she's meant to do. If you own a rat, he or she should be fine with these larger-size pellets."

"I recently got this food for my hamster. They have changed the look of the bag and i think they improved it. I'm not complaining............she loves it! She stuffs it in her cheeks and goes into her house and she eats it. It's easy to pick up if she knocks it out of her bowl. I highly recommend this."

"I feed this to my two pet rats and I noticed a difference in their coats within three weeks. They are softer and silkier than ever! They switched from their other food without any fuss, so it must be delicious too:)"
