I have alot of info now that I didn't have before thanks to this book. It has alot of info as far as temp,foods,bedding, toys, health all the good stuff you need to know about your hamsters.
I still have alot to read in this book but so far its been a great reference!

I learned some stuff that I didn't even know about hamsters!!! I didn't know that they eat spiders!!! When I first got my hamster, I didn't know how to take care of them. So I wanted a book that taught me how. So I looked at Petco and sure enough, they had the book. Now I have a very happy hamster. I would recommend this book to people who just got their first hamsters. To anybody!!!

Animal Planet did a great job of getting a lot of good background material on the various varieties of hamsters (Syrian, Chinese, Russian, etc).
If you are looking for a modern up to date book with good info and colorful pictures you won't be disappointed.
My kids were freaking out about witnessing hamster coprophagy, but the book had that covered too! If you have to look it up you'll probably gross out!
I would recommend this to a friend!
