Fun and functional

My sun conure enjoys both sitting and chewing on this perch. If you've had it for a long time, it can get a bit loose and unstable, but it's worth the price!

My senegal is already on her third one of these perches. She loves them! It is the perch she chooses to roost for the night on for most occassions. When I moved, she went through a period of lethargy when it came to playing with toys, but one day I came home and saw her gnawing away at this perch. She loves it and I will continue to get these for her. I

Edible Branch Perch

My sun conure seems afraid of his new perch. He has stepped on it, but he has yet to chew on it. He is not very receptive to anything new or strange placed in his cage. Some other species may fall in love with the perch.

My Blue Front Amazon Loves These!

Peanut, my blue front amazon loves to chew on these while his wooden chew toys are left untouched. One branch will last him several weeks. Once his beak got really long and we had to have it professionaly trimmed but these keep it in tip top shape!

Not for Macaws

I bought this for my blue-and-gold macaw after reading the description and previous reviews stating it was too big for their birds. I had thought it would work for my boy, but it wasn't quite what I expected. While the length was all right, the diameter wasn't as thick as I had hoped. From his reaction, it tasted all right, but it only took him about ten minutes to completely dismantle it into chunks; less than halfway through he started throwing the pieces at me, and I don't know if that was commentary on how he liked it or if he was trying to share. Also, a big problem I had was that the washers were just small enough that it was difficult to mount it to a cage with one inch spacing. All in all, this could be a good product for smaller species of birds or birds that don't chew very much, but I doubt I'll purchase it for mine again.

Good investment for my parakeets' cage

My two parakeets LOVE the perch for small birds. Right now, my blue 'keet is sitting on one of the branched ends, warbling away; my yellow 'keet, who had been gazing intently into one of the Insight revolving mirrors, flew up onto the other branch; They like to nibble it, rub their heads on it, or keep each other company on it. The perch is short, about five inches, a minimum length for a parakeet, so a longer perch of the same width and material would be desirable, too. Everyday they like it more and more, accepting it as a natural piece of their birdcage furniture.

Bought this yesterday for my 2 parakeets and put it in their temp. cage, they seem to love it! They scratch their beaks all over it, and so far it hasn't been soiled on. They seem to prefer it over the regular basic perch that came with the cage. Even though it's smaller then the other one they have, they both like to stay on this one most of the time! :)
(I also rinsed it with HOT water before putting it in the cage and it held up even though it's edible. I was afraid it would fall apart or something, but no problems other then the color bleeding a bit when I patted it dry. It still looks brand new)
