"I purchased this cage around 6 months ago for my sons hampster. I got this cage b/c it was closed in and I have a cat. So I thought this would be the best bet. It was great for a while, then as you take the cage apart to clean it, the attachment pieces break. I have already broken the side attachments. So now the wheel will only go on one side. Today when cleaning it, the attachment piece of the wheel is broken. Bad product unless you don't mind things breaking very easily."

"I like the cage because it is easy to clean. My wheel broke and it was loud. It also seemed a little cramped for my standard hamster Walle. We wound up buying a super quiet wheel but it takes up a lot of space inside the cage. Also, no one has mentioned but the enclosed plastic cage holds in quite a bit of the urine smell. My second cage for my Robo is wire and allows the strong urine smell to dissapate. And yes! We change it often! I am going to invest in a cage with a wire top to keep him breathing a little easier!"

"I am amazed by how many people say that this is a good cage! However, I have noticed that many of them say that they just purchased the cage recently, which means that they have not had to take it apart yet. I must admit that when the cage first came home I thought "wow, what a great cage, it has everything!" But then came reality. This cage is made entirely of hard plastic. To remove any of the attatchments (to clean, which we do weekly) you have to just pry them off and then jam them back on. The attatch points are these hard plastic clips... AND THEY BREAK!! Not only did I, within a month, break the wheel attatch point, but also the port that it feeds into on both sides, so now my hamster has no wheel because Petco does not sell supporting items. I will have to purchase a whole new set up for him (he loves his wheel and Im not about to make him live without his only entertainment in the world) because this cage is not large enough to have a wheel inside and sitll house his habitat. All in all, this cage has the right idea, wrong construction."

"I like the cage it has alot of space for houdini my hampster. He loves it i like the wheel but it is very noisy so i might get a quiet wheel but i dont want to because i like that wheel i can put alot of tubes and i do i have so many tubes its a very good cage for houdini !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I love how the wheel is on the outside of this cage; it's ultimately what made me buy this. Having the wheel on the outside leaves my teensy dwarf hamster SO much room in her cage, which is especially good for all the toys I spoil her with! Very easy to clean, too; I just pop off the top, take everything apart and throw it in the dishwasher.
On the down side, the water bottle is noisy when used, and hangs kind of low in the cage. The wheel doesn't squeak, but it does rattle a lot because there is a bit too much room for the wheel to move back and forth on its axis. Applying pressure to it (I have a book resting against it) generally solves this. Also the wheel has a tendency to make a mess when bedding gets in there or when the hamster poops while running."

"this is ultimatly my FAVORITE cage ! i have one teeny 2 inch long Fancy Dwarf Hamster and she seems to LOVE this cage ! she has had it for 3 1\2 years now and it`s still in perfect cage ! the cage is REALLY BIG for a hamster this small, but she loves it ! she climbs up to the lookout tower or whatever and she sleeps up there . she loves the wheel , but it is sort of a distraction at night. but as long as my hammy loves it, i do too . also this cage is one hundred percent ESCAPE PROOF(: but my hammy has never even made an plan to escape because she loves her cage so much! annd its totally expandable. i connected my cage to a little bubble go round thing on the side, and a little petting zone ! my hamster absolutly adores her cage. she`s very old now, and this cage seems to help her get around easier. :D so if your deciding on a cage , CHOOSE THIS !"

Hamster Cant Excape! Except...

"This Cage is okay! THe Best thing about it is My hamster cant excape! But This cage is hard to put together and wheel is noisy and cheep! I Got This Cage today becuase my hamster had chewed its other cage and it hasn't quite figured out the tower things yet! But it loves its Wheel! I dont so much but she does.Water bottle is kinda small! Hopfully my hamster can't excape!!!!!!!!!!

"Our Hamster was currentlyliving in a Hartz wire home, But my 2yr old figured out how to take part the cage so Mr mouse needed a new child proof home and one that was less messy. This was the perfect home. It reminded me of the cage that hartz use to make with the rubber/plastic bottom. I wish this cage had a tube hole inthe bottom like that on did so you can place it on top of a 10gal aquariuim. But other than that Mr. mouse loves it. We bought the #4 pack of critter tunnels an made a loop for him. It's easy to clean just pop the top off. Lots of room for him to hide and play even with out the extra tubes. The wheel is silent as long as he doest hide his stash of food in there, but now his found a new hiding place after i kept emptying out the wheel. No problems with the water bottle. Cant wait to add on the cage for Mr. mouse my kids just love watching him go thru the tunnels he was even the hit a sharing day at my sons preschool."

"i've had this cage for about 4 months and it's great! my dwarf hamster loves to run through the tubes and on his wheel! it's very easy to clean and take apart! my hamster has never got out. my only 2 complaints are that my hamster likes to put bedding in the wheel and then it all falls out through the bottom.also when my dwarf hamster is drinking its is very loud i don't know if it's my hamster or the cage."

"I bought this cage for my sons pet mice (Daisy and Petunia) a couple months ago. It was difficult to assemble the main area so i've just left it together but with it being so large and open i can easily wash it out with soapy water and a sponge. I haven't had any of the problems that other people complained about. I've never had bedding come out of it. My wheel is noisy but not anymore so than other wheels i've had through the years, most of my other wheels have actually been much worse, and the cup underneath has never come off. I like that all the attatchments come off so i can wash them thoroughly. My water bottle works fine for our mice. Overall i have been very pleased with this cage so far."

"I purchased this cage back in October, I have been back to petco 2 times trying to get the water bottle replaced. They did, however my hampster chewed it up again and there were no more replacements. I clean my hampsters cage 2x a week and I have noticed that the side the wheel is on the plastic part that holds the wheel is cracked and now my hampster has chewed on this and created a whole so I have to go and purchase another cage since there are no replacements parts. I see other complaints about the wheel, I have the same problem, I have to put something under the wheel so we can get some sleep at night."

"I got this for my first robo hamster and it worked great! I returned her because i could not hold her. Then I got a larger hamster it worked great! but eventually the weel got extremly loud. When my second hamster passed away I eventually bought a fancy dwarf. By then the weel was soooo loud I took it off and put a cap on the hole. And bought a new weel and put it in the cage. After that I have had no problems with the cage!"

"I bought this cage because my hamster outsmarted his old and and the wheel was extreamly loud. Unfortunaly i bough this one and the wheel was LOUDER! Also it was very poorly made. it leaks bedding and the tower has cracks in it and well my hamster relives himself down the side and all over the cage. Also the water bottle does not give the hamster a sufficient amount of water. Horrible buy."

"This cage is okay at first but, I disliked it very much. Bubba and Oreo (my two dwarf hamsters) LOVE the tower! They fight over it all the time. The food bowl is a pretty good size but not for two hamsters, they push each other out to get the food. For one hamster it is a very big cage, when I just had Bubba he sat in the corner for two weeks because He was scared to explore. The water bottle is VERY loud, although Oreo, hasn't gotten the hang of it yet and I have had him for a few weeks. And the worst thing there is about this cage, THE WHEEL! It is so very loud and I have to find something to stop it every night. I do like the tray at the bottom of the wheel but it gets full all the time and it always falls off. I alway try to wash the cage once a week or every two weeks, and after about 6 weeks it broke. The wheel had cracked in half because I had to take it apart and clean it. Also the little clip that holds the wheel to the thing it turns on broke off before I cleaned it and they ate it! But don't worry they are okay. But I would not recomend this cage to really anyone. Although it has a few good features it wasn't good overall."

"I think this is a good cage for begginers. i give it 4 stars for the first few weeks then i give it a 2. it doesn't stay together. it keeps braking and the wheel is so noisey and after a couple of days it smells horrible. My hampter loves the ring at the top. I would recomend it for a first cage but not for long."

"i get this cage in july 1 with my syrain hamster her name is lilly. after a few months gone by the wheel broke and the tower she gos in she all always sleeps in there i guess that her favortie spot but at nigh or in the moring she always bite the plastic it make me mad i cant get no sleep when she dose that but im going to get her a different cage."

"i got this cage when i first got my hamster and she loves it. the only thing is when we got 2, we opened the box and the cage was cracked. it works very good but, if you go in the store i would reccomened, taking a 2nd look at it. i would also reccomened, taking the parts and putting them together carefully."
