"I use the clippers on my English Springer Spaniel. She was very shaggy for the winter months. I am new to clipping and my dog's temperment requires extra flexibility and patience.
The clippers are very quiet. They fit my medium woman's hand so well that I can actually twirl the clippers around one-handed to switch directions. Given the extra thick fur, the clippers do get clogged, so I have to clean them off regularly. The dog had some matting behind her ear, taking those off has taken a lot of time switching between scissors and the clippers. Using the clippers cordless is convenient, so far, the clippers stay charged for 45-60 minutes, so I haven't used them with the cord yet because I'm trimming over multiple days.
My dog has viewed our grooming sessions very positively, as attention rather than torture. This is in part due to the quiet and safe operation of the clippers.
The documentation (folded piece of paper in various languages) is sparing. The DVD is pretty good, but you'll need to get a book or find a good website for learning how to trim your dog's breed."
