"After going through a number of trials of kibble, and my mini-doxies regularly vomiting up a small amount of bile, I read a lot of reviews of dry food and this one came out on top. I've now been using it for 3 years and not only do my dogs love it, they don't get sick anymore. The canned food is a great addition to the kibble, with the duck and sweet potato being my dogs' favorites."

"My Irish Jack Russell has been eating Wellness since she was about 2 months old. She really likes it. In fact, no one in our town sells it so we order it online and have it shipped to our door step. We really like that it has no by-products or fillers."

"About 3 months ago, I decided to get my five year old chihuahua mix, Tanzi, on a healthier diet after finding out what meat by-products contain. I wanted a diet that was made for smaller dogs and had joint support, and Wellness Small Breed fit the bill. Within a month her fur was extra silky and soft and she has less "eye boogers". At first she picked out her old food and refused to eat the new food, but now she eats plenty everyday (she even does tricks for it and prefers her dog food more than biscuit treats!). I 'free-feed' her, and she has always been a little pudgy during the winter and very fit and trim during the summer, and with this food she quickly lost her winter fat and gained muscle! I believe that Wellness is the best I can give to my girl, and that it will keep her healthy to live a long life."

"My 4 year old teacup yorkie who is a picky eater. She would roll her food around in her mouth and spit it back out. I went through bags of Science Diet, Science Diet Nature, Iams, Iams Healthy, Nutro Max,Pedigree, Purina, Beneful, Halo, Bil-Jac, Goodlife Recipe, Eukanuba, Nutrish (Rachael Ray), Royal Canin, and she hated it all. My DVM friend who recommended Wellness Super5Mix Small Breed adult health for my dog. As soon as I opened the bag and put out 1/2 a cup into her bowl my dog dived in and started to eat with no hesitation! She absolutely LOVES Wellness! She was smiling therefore I am happy. I would HIGHLY recommend Wellness food for all dogs.
Plus its all natural & very high quality (just read the ingredients!)"

"All my animals are now on Wellness products. It all started with a quest for a quality dry food that dealt with a sensitive stomach and dry flakey skin for a puppy I adopted. It performed miracles with him!!! Firmed up his stools and gave him a shiny black coat and no flakes! Plus he loved the taste. I had my chihuahua on the RC chihuahua blend. Which was a decent food for her. But after seeing the results of the Wellness on Baron, I switched her too. (They both did a stint on a dog/pup all natural dry food I used when she was a puppy but Baron's skin was so dry and had the runs I returned it). The customer service was fantastic too! Mailed samples for all my pets and coupons as well. I am fortunate that Harlow is not a picky eater, but she loves her Wellness. She has even knocked her bowl out of my hands to get to her food. She is excited to eat and gobbles it up speedy fast to look for scraps from Baron and his yummy Wellness food. All in all Wellness makes exceptional food whether for a cat or dog!!!!! You cannot go wrong with Wellness!"

"i have always tried to feed my two shih tzu's good quality, top rated food. they would eventually eat if after ignoring it for a while...wellness is highly rated as a dog food, so i thought i would try the small breed food. this is the first time (unless it has been canned)that they both GOBBLED up their food and looked at me with a look that said "seconds!" thanks for carrying this brand!"

"I recently switched my 1 year old Havanese, Rookie, from Wellness Super5Mix Puppy to the small breed adult and he absolutely LOVES IT!! He starts jumping and "dancing" on his hind legs when I get his dish because he knows he is getting the good stuff!! I tried other food (Innova) but he did not seem to like it as much. I love that it is all natural with no fillers, by-products, or soy. I am confident that he is getting the proper nutrition that he needs to live a long and healthy life. The vet says he is in perfect health and his groomers can't believe how soft, shiny, and healthy his coat is, a lot of which is because of this food!"

"I have two dogs that each have their own set of sensitivities. One has very, very dry skin, and the other has an incredibly touchy stomach - every other food I have ever had him on has given him really loose bowels and bad gas. This is the FIRST food that has worked for both of them. My first dog's skin is not as dry and flaky, she doesn't scratch near as much, and my other dog's bowels have firmed up and he's pooping much, much less because this has so much higher quality ingredients.
I LOVE this food and I am so happy that Petco now carries a TRUE high quality food instead of some of the brands that claim to be high quality but are full of nothing but fillers and hardly any meat ingredients.

"i have 2 little shih tzu's who have very sensitive stomachs. The older one especially. i was feeding them Science Diet natures blend and they were constantly throwing up on the grass and had runny stools. The younger one was even beginning to eat her stools, yuck! I took them off Science Diet and was told to feed them Wellness Super 5 for small dogs. Within a week i noticed a change. The older one stopped vomiting, the younger one stopped eating her stool. I read on the bag that the food has digest stool which when they go to the bathroom the nutrients aren't expelled but absorbed by the body. This may be why she stopped eating her stool. The older one is much happier with this food and their coats are soft and shiny with less matting as well. i would highly recommend this food for little dogs."

"I have two Chihuahuas that I rescued from shelters, years apart. One is 9 and the other one is 4. Both came to me with health problems from neglect. I tried many "Vet" reccomended dogs foods to increase their overall health, and it wasn't until I was reccomended "Wellness: small breed" that I saw an improvement. This product is HIGH end dog food, filled with the ingredients I and my vet would personally hand choose for my pets. Its all natural ingredients, vitamins, suppliments and perfect balance of protein, fatty acids and carbs, has increased my dogs energy, stamina, coat health and over all health and my picky eaters love it!!!!
I will never use another dog food as long as I own and love my pets. Finally there is a high quality, reasonably priced dog food that has the best interest of the pet in mind."

"After doing research on how Purina Dog Chow and or Science Diet etc. are really bad foods for your dog(s), i was looking at my local Petco for a good brand or food. My 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a picky eater and wouldn't eat much of her other food, this is the only food she loves! My dog and i love Wellness little bits! I 100% recommend this product to others. She now has a better coat, joints, softness of fur and a bunch of other good things i could think of! If you buy this dog food, you will definitely be satisfied!"

"I became a dog owner about 2 years ago. Well my little pupperkins is a Jack russle crossed with a shih tzu. She is 9 lbs, and is 2 years old. She is my world, and I tried to only give her treats that I could pronounce what was in them. Well most brands had by products, and to me, if I won’t eat it, I won’t make her. Well one day, I was in PETCO, and they were promoting Wellness. I figured it was worth a try and when I read the ingredients, I couldn’t believe it. I bought the small breed, and the smallest bag. My dog loves it. She doesn’t ever over eat, so I keep her bowl full, and she just munches when she is hungry. She goes potty less often, and I notice, she doesn’t hack up anymore. She also eats much less, because it is more filling, and is better for her. I would give this a 10 star, if I could."

"i have a chinese crested and as i just found out alot of food out there is not good for that breed it interacts wrong with their body and can cause sudden deaths. so there was a small lists of food they could have and this was one of them, so i rushed over to petco to get it and boy does Happy like it. he loves this food so much and we couldnt be more happy with it. the best buy i have ever made, will never use any other food than this on my cresteds"

"My little 1.5 year old yorkie-poo does really well on this food. I previously used the Wellness puppy food and then Core. He barely ate any of the food unless I really ran the energy out of him. Now, he eats a good amount and doesn't look like an overly skinny dog."

"I currently own, by far, THE MOST picky dog I have ever had or seen. My 10lb Toy Fox Terrier, Penny, has turned up her nose to ALL the best foods on the market: Orijen, Evo, Instinct, Canidae, Great Life, even the BARF diet! My dog is incredibly stubborn and LITERALLY will starve herself if she doesn't want to eat something. I had tried everything--putting stuff on top of it, leaving the bowl down for 15 minutes and then picking t up if she didn't eat and repeating the process because *supposedly* if a dog gets hungry enough, he/she will eat. NOT my dog. I tried that method for almost 2 weeks and she ended up losing almost a pound! Then I decided to try Wellness small breed adult...AND SHE ATE! Granted she didn't eat ALL of it, but she ate WAY more than she did with all the others! I'm so glad I finally found wellness...
By the way, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's not entirely grainless, although the quality of the grains included are MUCH better than a lot I've seen..."
