Since learning that wood shavings were bad for my Chinchillas, I have been buying the Petco brand small animal paper pellet litter. It keeps the cage clean and dry for a lot longer than newspaper or wood shavings. I love how Petco.com offers a really big size of it so you save more in the end. I have 6 Chinchillas and I think I will be using this product forever!

My bunny, Roger, prefers pellets in the litter box and bedding in the rest of his open cage (he is a free roaming pet) and it is getting harder and harder to find pellets. This is a good product as well as being available. Thanks, PetCo for carrying it. I do find it hard to find in local PetCo stores sadly and have to order online and then pay shipping fees. Would be great to have your products in your stores. Thanks.

I am pleased with Planet Petco Small Animal Paper Pellet Litter. I was using pine wood chips and was having to change the litter almost daily due to the terrible odor. I've used the pellet litter for one week now and have only had to change it once. What a great improvement! Another benefit is that the pellets don't cling to my bunny's fur and get all over the place.

I happened to stumble on this when I was shopping for ferret supplies and substituted this from the other litter I had been buying mainly because it was made of paper and lighter to carry plus the cost was cheaper. I figured the cost meant that the litter was not going to be as good. I was very surprised that it worked better than the more expensive brand and kept any odors to a minimum. In fact once you clean up the mess the odor goes with the messed litter.

My rabbit loves to rest on this mat, and also chew it up! Each mat lasts several weeks, and the shreds that he does not eat make good bedding--a bonus.

Before using this bedding, I had been using carefresh, then aspen (because of price). Both are very dusty and seem to aggravate the sneezing in the rodents I own, and aspen doesn't seem to absorb moisture well. I tried this because a friend recommended pelleted paper litter, but I didn't want to use the hard pellets. It's fantastic. Absorbs really well, not dusty at all, doesn't have a smell and is soft. Crumbles a bit when dry, but doesn't put out dust. Definitely recommended for small animal bedding.

I have used this litter for about two years for my indoor rabbit and love it. It is very low dust and extremely absorbent. Also, unlike the shredded paper or litter made out of wood, it doesn't get stuck in their feet and therefor get all over the house when they are outside of their cage.

This is the best litter we've found in terms of odor control and cleanliness. We have 4 ferrets so having this work has been great. Better than Marshall's. Just make sure to get the pellets not other bedding (we've made that mistake and other stuff even if petco brand does not work, the pellets are the best.)

This litter works perfectly in my rabbits litter box. It allows there to be a distinction between the bedding and the potty. Also does not get flung around due to the weight.

I bought this because it is cheaper than my bunny's regular brand Yesterday's News, but it doesn't work as well. It doesn't deal with the odor as well and clumps together into a mush when wet. To me it's not worth the little bit of savings.

we used to use the bark shavings because they seemed softer, but one guinea pig started to wheeze. we tried paper shred by the same company and it stunk of urine in just a couple of days. this style of paper pellets is the most convenient and holds down odor for a week.

This product does exactly what is says. It helps control the odor, it is easy to clean, and my ferrets love it. We had tried other types in the past, but had problems with them not going in the box as much. It is a great product with a great price!

I've been using this product for years now. However, when I was recently changing out my rabbit's litter, I noticed that there were little pieces of red and blue plastic mixed in with it. I do not plan on continuing using this product because I would rather not have my rabbit ingest plastic. Up until now, I've never had a problem though. This is not acceptable. :/

I use this for a guinea pig. Been using it all year and am extremely pleased. It is the best bedding I have used. Much better than paper shreds or confetti.
It neutralizes odor, has super absorption, is comfortable for small hands/feet and is extremely easy to remove and replace.

With two guinea pigs (one of which must have a super high metabolism) keeping their cages cleaned and the odor under control has been difficult. We have tried every kind of bedding out there for guinea pigs. The Petco brand has been the best. Absorbent, controls the odor, is available in a big bag and is less expensive. Go Petco!

I use this for my cat, and we love it. I switched from the clumping clay cat litter because I was tired of it getting tracked all over the house no matter how often I cleaned. Also, the dust was ridiculous, and with it my cat wouldn't keep her rear parts clean.
This gets tracked but minimally and the pellets are bigger so much easier to pick up. Now she keeps herself clean and there's no problem with breathing that awful dust. And no problems with odor! (another brand I tried smelled so strongly of paper it permeated my entire apartment, like it was a magazine factory -- this has only a slight paper smell and no waste odors)
I scoop the solid waste 1-2 times per day (The box is right next to the toilet, I pretty much just check it when I go and flush the solid waste). If I notice a really wet spot I'll scoop it and replace the litter. Doing it this way, a 10 lb. bag lasts a little more than a week, and since I change it out weekly, I just dump the used litter back in the resealable bag it comes in.
Overall It's more expensive but totally worth it (and sustainable too!)!
