"Dogs have many different styles of sleeping. Many enjoy curling up into a ball. Some like to lay their head on something soft. They may stretch their legs as far as they can, or rest with their bellies facing up. Others prefer to seek out a corner to sleep. We have designed each of these beds for a different sleeping style. So take notice of how your dog prefers to sleep, and find the bed designed for his sleeping style.
This bed is great for all dogs who like to stretch out as they sleep, but it is particularly beneficial to senior dogs. We designed it specifically thinking of my senior dog Daddy, who is 14 years old. I wanted him to have an orthopedic bed that would support his aging body and help him rest easier."

"This bed is almost a comfy as my bed! Our new dog loves it. Since it has the grip bumps on the bottom the bed doesnt slide all over our hard wood floors and the cover is extremely soft!"

Not quite what I expected

"Since it's supposed to be orthopedic...I thought this would be alot firmer. I have a 9 year old Golden that has had arthritis for a while. His old bed was only 2 inches deep and similar to a memory foam bed. I had to throw it out because it was impossible to wash and it was smelling.
This bed is too soft for him....he has a tough time getting up and out of it...given the fact that it's as deep as it is, and not firm enough. I wouldn't buy it again...but, mostly because of his arthritis.
For a positive........the cover is nice and better quality than I expected."

Great Ortho Bed

"I had considered memory foam, egg-crate foam, etc. beds for my arthritic 12 y/o German Shepherd/Chow mix, and after reading the positive reviews on this bed and seeing the low price, I ordered it for my her. We've had it for a month now and everything is perfect (structure, cover, thickness, support), except I wish it came in one size up. With larger dogs prone to hip dysplasia I'm surprised it's not made in a larger size. When my dog stretches fully out, her head hangs off the end. Still, she loves the bed and took to it right away. I placed her old one next to it so she could choose, and she's slept on the gel bed every time. I've just kept her old bed there as a head support. The bed is well-made, and soft but supportive enough that she can push herself up. I didn't want a bed that was so soft or mushy that she'd get her feet caught up in the bedding while trying to get up. Superb orthotic bed at a fantastic price."

"This bed is nice and thick, but I have to say that I have yet to have my dog get on it. He doesn't seem thrilled. I would not pay full price for this just because Mr. Milan's name is on it. It's an egg crate pad + some stuffing w/ a soft cover. Nothing terribly impressive."

"Yogi loves his new bed. He is 11 years old with arthritis in his hips. I bought two one for inside and one for outside. I covered the one outside with a jumbo vacuum-seal space bag to waterproof it and then placed an old blanket over it. Works great."

"Our dog was wondering around the house at night seemingly looking for a comfortable spot, even catching her on the couch from time to time, where she is not allowed. Since replacing her bed she is there all night long and she is not waking me up with her snoring. Great product for the price."

"I can't speak personally to the comfort level of this bed, but my lab mix Lucy seems to love it.
The best thing is, it fits perfectly in the wire kennel where she sleeps at night and while I'm away from the house. She goes in there to nap quite often even when I'm home, so I know she likes it!"

"i just got the beds today and man i cant keep my dogs off of them...i have two older pit bulls and one of them is having major hip problems and he just loves the bed he hasnt moved off of it since i brought it out of the box and it also fits perfectly in my kennel...thanks this is such a wonderful bed"

Love beds but covers are problem..

"I have two dogs and two of these beds...they absolutely love them but my only issue is with the covers. One of them, the zipper broke and the other got so worn there became holes in it...Petco and the manufacturer do not sell replacement covers.
If these were $10 dog beds it wouldn't be a big deal but the beds themselves are fine and I dont want to pay $80+ to replace covers for them."

"My dog is a senior girl and has a bit of arthritis. She took right to this bed and lays on it whenever she gets a chance.My other dog only likes "people" beds, but decided this one was made just for her, too; so I bought a second. Now I have two very content and comfy dogs! I was confident in the Cesar name, and wasn't disappointed. I will definitely try other products in his line. Thank you Cesar and Petco!"

"This is a great dog bed. I have 2 of them and my dogs love them. It's made of sturdy and comfortable material so it doesn't get matted down like a lot of the others. The cover is removable and washable which is an added bonus! I've washed the covers several times and they still look and feel good as new!"

"Bought this for my dog 1 month ago. She loved it. She is 12 years of age and the gel filled napper was great for her. Washed it and now zipper is broken so the cover is shot. Thought it would have been a little stronger than just one wash especially for the price I paid. Either have to find a new cover or find somewhere to have zipper completely redone."

Not so happy...

"We love Cesar's show and watch it on a regular basis and bought this product based on his experience and knowledge of the dog world. We received the product right away last Thursday and placed it down for our 70 lb Doberman. The size was perfect 30x40 but it didn't seem very comfortable for him as he didn't really want to lay down on it - unlike his other beds. After a weekend of adjusting to his new bed he seems to like it okay, however, we just noticed this morning (Monday) that he's already ripped a 1 inch hole in the thin fabric trying to scratch to get comfortable last night... Looks like we'll have to find some heavy duty fabric to make a new cover. Extremely unhappy!"

"I bought this several months ago for Delia, my middle-aged, 50-pound border collie mix, and it's held up very, very well.
I keep the bed covered with a fitted crib sheet and lay an old beach towel over that because Dee sheds and likes to chew rawhides so I like to change the towel every day or two.
Along with a replacement cover, I'd like another in a slightly smaller size."

"I was expecting a superior quality bed considering the name brand. However, while the bed itself is excellent the COVER IS NOT! The first time I washed & dried the cover according the the washing & drying instructions on the tag, the ZIPPER BROKE! I either have to find the receipt and return all of it to PETCO or find a place to have the zipper totally replaced at an additional cost to myself!"

"I went to my local Petco looking for a good dog bed. All the other dog beds I have purchased have sagged in the middle and my 50 lb. American Pit bull terrier never seemed very comfortable in them. I tried laying on all the beds myself and finally came across this bed. This is the only bed that held weight and I couldn't feel the floor underneath me. I bought it and my dog loves it. She seems much more comfortable. It also seems easier for her to get in and out of the bed. It's been about three months since I bought it and it is still in great shape so I purchased another one on line for her upstairs bed. Very good price as well!"

Not good for larger dogs

"We bought this bed just after Christmas 2008 at a store and it felt pretty good, support wise. Well, just three weeks later and already the orthopedic foam is sunken in. Not the gel topping, but rather the botton layer of foam which gives the bed most of the support. I have two basset hounds who like to curl up when they sleep, and after about 2 weeks you could see a visible indent in the bed already. One of my bassets is 65 lbs and the other 45 lbs. For the price, while not too outrageous, I expected more support. But again, this does seem to be a good bed for the price compared to others on the market, it just turned out not to fit my hound's needs."
