Short Life

I bought the 100 watt to use indoors for my chick brooder since I didn't need the 150 watt that feed stores sell. I had it on 24 hours a day for 18 days then I had to unplug it. When I plugged it back in it wouldn't come back on. I've never touched the bulb so I don't understand why it had such a short life. I've heard that they last longer if you don't turn them on and off but I've had other heat bulbs in the past for my lizards and I only used them at night and never had this problem before.

ZooMed Infrared Heat Lamp

I use this product to keep my Cavies (Guinea Pigs) warm in winter. I don't trust the gas heater, as it often quits working. I use the 75 watt bulb, as it seems to work for 3 Cavies. My only concern is that the light output is visible to them because they aren't nocturnal animals. ( Nocturnal animals can't see red light.) It doesn't seem to bother them though.

I bought one of these bulbs for my ball python around January and it still goes today. I recommend these to anyone who has nocturnal reptiles such as ball pythons, boas, etc.

Perfect Small Heat Bulb

I purchased this product as a heat lamp in a small chicken tractor. It's perfect for smaller areas where a large heat lamp would be too much.

Reptile Essential!

With seasonal changes coming (cooler nites) it's time for the night lights that add warmth and just a little light for viewing many reptiles. These do not disturb the reptiles either...my new very shy spotted python enjoys her branch all night under this cozy lamp, as does my larger boa constrictor and others. I recommend using with a dimmer, so you can adjust for the correct temperatures; help your "herps" be all they can be! Zoo Med is a good reliable brand too!
