"I have 3 standard poodles. Cutting nails have always been a struggle. This product has mixed reviews for me. My dogs accepted it well and didn't get too up tight. It was sure easier to use than the traditional clippers. My problem with it was that it took a very very long time to grind each nail and wasn't practical in that respect, however, it would be great to use in conjunction with the clippers. Just clip the nail at a safe length and follow up with the grinder to get off the rough edges and get them a bit shorter. Also, the nail smells a little bad when grinding which takes getting used to. I think the grinder would work very well for small dogs with little nails."

"Can't get near my Great Dane with this tool. Although it is pretty quiet, the little noise it does make, makes my dog run away. Even with slowly introducing the concept to him, he wouldn't go for it. The groomer says his nail are too tough for it anyway."
