"I bought a large and small sand perch and these are excellent. My birds nails now stay trimmed without me trimming them myself with my bird going crazy. I would recommend this to anyone who has birds."

"I am definantly going to buy more of these. My parakeets Rikki and Lacey love them! I had bought them sand perch covers, but they both kept knocking them down. I went out and bought one of these and I absoloutely love it! (My parakeets feel the same way) They actually LOOK like perches so my parakeets know to walk on them haha."

"I bought this product because I wanted some way to trim their nails without the stress of physically doing it. I hated when I would have to take them to the vet to get their nalis trimmed because I hated how stressed out they would get. I have not had to take them to the vet for another stressful visit since bought these. I got three of them of all different colors and shapes. I swear by these perches. Anyone who is tired of stressing their birds out by taking them to the vet this product is an awesome buy, and it actually pays for itself the very first time."

"I loved these perches! My parakeets love to sit on them! When they use these perches it helps to file down thier nails a bit so when they go on you they don't scratch so much. They have them in different sizes so if you have birds (especially with long nails) I would definetely recomend these perches."

"when i opened the package, sand actually fell out and when i put it in the cage, the sand continuously fell. I would not recommend this for your pet"

"I was forever using those sandpaper perches. Half the time there was very little sand left once they were actually on the perch. These eliminate that hassle and our parakeets seem to like the different sizes. Great!"

"the perch is not the best but will do in a pinch.
I think of it as basically a disposable perch because the sand wears off after washing it a few times. Which it needs to be washed often since birds love to wipe their messy beaks on it.
I do like the different sizing on it which is good for their feet.
But for the price I would use it as a disposable perch"

"our two finches have 3 different types of perches in their cage and this is their second favorite (after the natural branch) - it gives a good file on the nails when they hop around on it - it attaches to the side of the cage so well that we have their nesting ball resting on it - it is also easy to clean - i would like to replace one of their other perches with another of these"

Nice width but the sand cover is bad.

"I like the fact that this perch has some different widths because that really is nice for the bird and it helps the muscles in the birds feet. However, the sand cover is not good for the birds feet. It says that it helps keep the birds nails trimmed but it also rips up the bottom of the birds feet. A birds feet are very tender and gravel or sand covered perches aren't good. I used sand paper to get the sand off and now it is quite smooth."

"I bought the blue one first to try it out since the other sand perches were more expensive. I knew in my mind these wouldnt be "the best" sand perch since its price but I was proven wrong. 1 hour after i put the blue one inside my cage all three of my quakers fought to sit on it! This forced me to get the larger one so at least 2 out of my 3 birds could sit on it at a time! And the quality isnt cheap! It can hold strong on any parrot you've got! Delight your bird with this product!"

"my cockatiel snowball loves this perch! although it did not do much for his nails, he will not go to any other perch in my whole house. he also likes taking the little grains of sand off of the perch, and refuses to leave it when i try to let him out of the cage for some exercise. absolutely must have this product!"

"The insight sand perch really helps birds nails to be more smooth then sharp. I noticed the difference within a week after the birds used it, no more sharp nails! My birds prefer the sand perch over the regular perches because they are thicker and able to grasp more with their feet."

"We have two of these, but one is shaped like a "T" and sits on the top of our cage. Although the sand does wear away after a while, I still think it has been a great buy. It is soft enough for my birds to rub their faces on when they itch, and it grooms their beak when they nibble and their nails while they play. I think this is a great product and it inexpensive, easy to clean, and easy to take in and out of the cage. A must for your little friend."

"This perch isn't a perfect "five", but it's pretty good. I like that it has varying diameters to help exercise my budgies' feet. I am a bit dissappointed that the roughness quickly wears away after a few washes. The good thing about the wearing away of the roughness is that my budgies are more likely to use it, but I'm not sure it's doing much for their claws. I alternate putting a sand-perch in with a cement perch in order to ensure their nails are getting a good grooming."

"This is my favorite sand perch of the three I've tried. It's not very large and it holds up better to repeated cleanings than the others. It's also not overly abrasive, which I think agitates my bird's feet less."
