Well, the scratcher wouldn't be a scratcher without a scratch pad, and my Rowdy kitty would be heartbroken if I didn't keep his most cherished possession properly maintained! Curiously, when one side gets all scratched up, if I turn the pad over, just a little scratching rips it to pieces - big hunks are torn from it. These are the only scratcher pads I've seen that can't be flipped over so that the other side can be used. Odd...

Our older cat would have hardly anything to do with the Turbo Scratcher, so when we got our kitten it was in great shape. Recently purchased the replacement pads because our kitten tore the other one to shreds. So, thanks from our little Mose.

Once you buy the Star Chaser that these replacement pads go into (which you only need once) you have made your cat happy. Put a little catnip on the cardboard and they are in heaven, rolling around on it, chasing the ball around over and over and over. It's a great way for them to scratch their claws and cheaper than a scratching post or worse, your furniture. My cats never grow tired of it. I've even taken the pad by itself to the vet when my cat had to spend a week there to make her more comfortable.

The Star Chaser gets a lot of attention from three of our four cats, but Charlie particularly appreciates the scratcher part of the toy. It's the first scratching area he'll go to when he gets the urge. His bed is at one of our 3-br apartment and this scratcher is at the other end, but Charlie will travel just for that one spot. He really digs in, gets his "fix" and goes back to play, eat, drink, sleep... and does it all over again.

My cats love this scratcher. I like it because you actually get 4 sides to use. When one is all used up, turn it over, and you have another clean pad!

Light up ball may be an issue

My cats love this toy. I already have a different version of this with a ball that does not light up. So, I decided to try this one. When it was delivered, the ball lit up for about 10 mins. and died out. Petco replaced promptly and their customer service is great. You cannot put a battery in the ball so I am hoping that this will last.

My cats adore the star chaser toy and use it constantly! They wore out both sides of the original scratch pad. These are cheap and come with two replacement scratchers. Totally worth it to keep them entertained and out of trouble!

I would recommend this toy to everyone. My nine cats love it. We have had it for about 6 years. They love to chase the ball and to scratch on the pad. I just love it and so do they.l have one cat, Thomas, who loves to nap on it.

These replacement pads are great. I decided that I was tired of the mess they make so I bought my cat a lisle scratcher. While she would use the lisle one, she really seems to prefer the cardboard scratchers. So, I live with the mess and praise the heck out of her when she uses the cardboard! What's a little mess?!

I have 5 cats and they all love the Star Chaser Turbo Scratcher! I always keep spare pads in stock as 2 of my cats are not declawed and need to have an outlet for the scratching. But even the declawed cats love to "scratch" on it!

This product really saves your furniture. My cats love it. When they have demolished the 1st side I turn it over for them to use the second side, as well. It's like having two replacements in one. We can't get alot of items here on the Big Island of Hawaii, so my neighbor and I share our items. We buy in bulk. Her cats like this much better than the other items we have tried for our combined cats!

My Siberian cat loves this scratcher. I love it because its small and can be stuck anywhere, unlike the traditional post. We even have one on our boat. She shreds one of these refills every couple of weeks, but they're inexpensive and easy to replace.

Don't EVER stop carrying these replacement pads (like some stores have!) or my cats will turn on me and tear ME apart instead!!! The cats like them so much, they won't even wait for me to sprinkle the catnip on top before they tear into them!
