Great product!

My dog is always itching and this year there has been no relief from fleas. Even with regular application of flea treatment and daily flea combing my pooch has not been a happy camper. He has been itching and biting his skin until it scabs over especially near his tail. Looking for a little relief for my buddy, I purchased this product because it was less expensive than the others that were featured, and I am on a tight budget. Within one application there were considerable improvements in his skin irritation. Now after 3 days in everything is almost completely healed. Save your money on the more expensive items and try this one.

Works, but may sting?

I originally bought this for my Shih Tzu, as she has a flea allergy and breaks out almost in hives when she gets bit by even one flea. Last summer was our first full summer with her after we adopted her, so I spent a good amount of money on different highly-rated products available near me, trying to find something to help her. Well, the bitter additive/lick deterrant doesn't work for her, but I have yet to find one that does, sometimes she gets a little too "OCD" to care if it tastes bad...
But we adopted a second dog a few months back. He has a bad habit of licking his paws constantly when he is bored. Some days, like after a good walk or something, I assume his paws are sore so he wont stop licking then. I went through the products I had for her, and decided to use this one since it had lidocaine to numb it as well as an antiseptic, I was hoping it would help him. I sprayed it on and he jumped and whined a little, I thought maybe it was because it was a sudden shock of cold between his toes. But it's also possible that it may sting some also, I am not sure. But in less than a minute it stops him in his tracks from licking, he will usually pass out quite quickly and not lick the rest of the night. He also stays away from it for a day or two after, I assume that's due to the bitter taste.
I think it is a good inexpensive product to provide temporary relief for some skin irritation. But if your dog isn't deterred by lick deterrants...this one isn't for you. Don't need your dog having a mouth full of lidocaine, lol...
(One of the other reviews on here didn't seem to read the label since it seems like they expected it to cure whatever the issue was with their dog. "Provides TEMPORARY RELIEF", not a cure. If your dog has allergies to food, their shampoo, etc.; or if his paws are hot spots [bacterial infection that requires specific care supervised by a vet, usually along with antibiotics], then this probably wont do anything for them...)

Works Well...

This product works just like it should and to other dogs it might be fine, but my dog kept licking and chewing (the chewing deterent does not work) all night long because the product had the antiseptic and that was bothering him more than the aloe curing him. The product worked awesome on my cousins dog, but mine hated it soooooo much!
