Great for "Players" but not for "Chewers"

Okay, hear me out... In my opinion there's two (well three) types of birds... the ones that're scared of toys... the ones that PLAY with toys (grab with their feet, peck at, move around, etc) and the ones that CHEW toys (shake around, splinter, set out to destroy).
The "Player" birds might love this! Have a conure that likes to shake things and move things around? This'll be great for him! I had a grey that had one of these and would just grab the frame and shake it. He didn't like to chew, only play.
The "Chewer" birds will destroy this... relatively quickly. I'd say within 3-5 days of being acquainted with it (and liking it!). My Amazon tore it apart bit by bit. He started by biting the cross bars that held in the beads/loops. The following day he removed the bars completely (lots of shrapnel at the base of his cage... I saved the pieces to make a toy with though!) and currently he is ripping apart the over frame and working to get the only remaining cross bar off.
The good news is, it comes apart safely, and there's little reason to believe that a bird could harm himself with the pieces that fall off of the toy. They're too large. And, since the toy is pretty affordable price-wise... you won't be out too much trying to replace it.
Overall, whether you have a Chewer or a Player, I'd recommend this. If you have a larger parrot, like my Blue Front Amazon, it keeps them busy for a little while trying to figure out how to destroy it. Plus, it's good enrichment I suppose. Promoting beak condition and all that! Give it a shot for your bird :)
Oh, and noteworthy: If you touch the toy with a wet hand, you WILL get a stain on your hand. I have a red framed one and totally thought I had burn marks on me or something, haha! So, be weary of getting this wet, it will stain whatever you put it on!

I know my Amazon is using this, but I can't seem to catch him. I can hear him playing with it.

I have a Quaker Parrot that LOVES this toy, and it lasted a year before I had to replace it for a new one. I had it on the bottom level of his cage, he would spin it around in circled and did chew up the wood. Would not recommend it for larger parrots (amazons/greys)

I bought this for my african grey and thought it would really entertain him for what I figured would be about 2 to 3 weeks...it lasted 3 days...I was very dissapointed in the way it was made and really thought it should have lasted and held up longer than that...I will not purchase this toy again.

I bought the small one for my cockatiel, he loves sliding the pieces back and forth and chewing the top. He's had it for about 3 weeks and it still looks like new. It's definitely one of his favorite toys.

Horrible wood!

This toy is lovely but the wood is just too easy for Parrots to break apart. I bought the large and my african grey broke it apart in piece's in an hour! It's very cheaply made. Not a good idea for birds who love to destroy.

Not recommended for chewers

Really cool idea, but not practicle if your bird likes to chew. Within minutes the toy was chewed apart on the top, causing the whole thing to be ruined. My birds don't ruin their toys like this often, but the wood is so soft on this one that is was easily destroyed.
