This is a quick fix to use but only in conjunction with a flea treatment such as Advantage & treating your home with a product called Flea Busters. By doing the combination of the three procedures I eliminated a flea infestation quickly. Capstar is a wonderful product I've used in the past and still feel is safe and worth using on my precious pets. However, it is a short term fix that by itself won't solve the flea infestation for your pet long term, You still need to use a monthly treatment plan for both the pet and home.

I work at the Colleyville Animal Clinic in Colleyville, TX.
We give Capstars to all of our patients that come through, we use it as a preventive so the fleas do not spread.
I am amazed that they offer it for kittens and nursing mothers. We have a female cat we rescued from the street, so she loves to run all around the neighborhood, she has always had a problem with fleas, she just recently had kittens, I am so thankful that there is a product like Capstar that can help! It is a very gentle product to use. But I would also recommend using your regular annual dose of flea preventive to control fleas year round.
This product in my opinion is for use when your pet has had their monthly dose of flea meds, and they are being exposed to fleas, or for people that live in an area where fleas are prominent.

This is a fast way to kill fleas but it does not keep them away. This is great to give immediate relief or to prepare them to go in public or to the groomer. Thsi product works in less than 30 minutes.

While our cats are difficult to pill, with a pill plunger we had success. Seems to really help with fleas, but a second dose may be necessary. Fleas are so very frustrating.

I'm a new cat owner; purchased Charlotte just last December, so I was slow to catch on to the problems.Since I personally use Avon Skin So Soft after my shower every day, the fleas didn't bother me, We moved into a new townhouse in August,which added to it taking me so long to figure out what was going on. My cat is just a year old, so was doing crazy kittie things from the time I got her.
Charlotte just began getting stranger and stranger. It was warm out, which we attributed her sleeping on shelves, totes, etc. to, but then she began never touching the floor unless necessary, going wild jumping from one piece of furniture to another. She was wild woman!
My daughter-in-law came in one day, and said "Mom, it's the fleas bothering her". Okay, so we went to the vet's office and bought one Capstar pill. I could not believe how quickly the Capstar reacted in her! The fleas literally were falling off of her.
It was unbelievable how many nests of flea eggs were on her skin that I couldn't detect due to her long, gorgeous hair. I felt like the worst animal owner in the world when we found these, but I was totally new to this.
I also bought a monthly product at the time, and neither product made her ill, sleepless, etc. She just got better and better. She has become a loving kitty who comes and lays on my chest at least twice a day for her loving and scratching, and in the evening she even lets me brush her now. Life is good!
Buy Capstar - you won't be disappointed.

I bought this product on the recommandation of a family member and all the comments from others. I am so glad i did it worked great. Used it on a new puppy that had fleas really bad, it worked like a charm, fleas gone in no time. I have used it along with the frontline and seem to have it under control.

I bought the capstar tablets yesterday. I have two indoor cats who somehow got fleas, they were miserable and my girl cat was hiding down my basement. I went online to see what the best treatments were, I had previously bought flea collars (useless) and drops you put betweeen their shoulder blades ( not advantage or frontline) and that was useless as well.
I read such great reviews of capstar thought I would try it well let me say this...IT WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Both my cats were back to normal last night, they were in the living room with us, purring and purring. I've been vaccumming and trying to get this under control .

Work for Fleas only.
Vet recommended as an alternative to Comfortice, temporarily out of small dog dosage. Must bathe 30 mins after dose administered. Can see the eggs and fleas drop off. Recommended for best results to administer no less than 3 days in a row. Then whenever signs of fleas appear. For flea and ticks, must combine with advantix or similiar.

I used to buy a popular topical application for my chihuahua, within a few days she was itchy like crazy! Friend uses Capstar for her cats. Vets & shelters use it for sick pets because it's safe and effective. So I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. No more itching! my girl can now relax, cuddle & snooze the day away, which seems to be her purpose in life.

My 3 cats and 1 dog were INFESTED with fleas. After using frontline for 2 months, they were still covered with fleas. I came across Capstar while speaking with an employee at Petco. I gave the pill to all of my animals, within hours, fleas were gone!! Amazing product. No side effects and my animals were finally happy and flea free!

We tried everything to get rid of our cat's fleas. Nothing seemed to be working for us, shampoo, spray, flea combs, powder, they just wouldn't go away! A friend suggested this product and it was great. The fleas started falling off in about 20 minutes from when the cats took the pill. We combed them a little but it wasn't helping so we bathed them to help the fleas fall off. They aren't all gone yet but it has only been a few hours. We will be cleaning the house top to bottom today and our flea problem is gone!!

This was first given to me by my Vet. It really does work in 30 minutes or less, the fleas start dying. The animal may kind of "freak out a bit" because the fleas are running around and more active as they take in the medicine. It will calm down. This does only kill adult fleas, so you will need to repeat because most likely flea eggs are already laid on the animal and will hatch and you will see new fleas. My Vet said it was safe enough to use daily if needed for like 5 days. By then no new eggs should be around and no new aults hatching, and the animal should be flea free. Then use a monthly preventative to stop re-infestations.

I purchased this product in desperation, I have 5 cats and they were infested with fleas. Within 24 hours they had relief, I used this product with Advantage II and we are flea free.

I have 8 dogs and a flea problem, not excessive and have tried everything. Bought these pills cause they said it works in 30 minutes, I still have the flea problem but they are not as bad, had to use 2 pills instead of one to get them under control, there are still fleas. I've used shampoo, and sprays, I don't think they make anything to rid dogs and house of fleas. At least I haven't found anything yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Last summer I fostered some stray kittens in our home, unfortunatly they brought fleas with them. I felt like i had tried everything. My vetrinarian recommended capstar and within minutes i could see the fleas coming off of them. It really was amazing! With capstar we were able to more effectively rid our cats of fleas, in turn making it easier to rid the house of them as well.

Applied Advantage and gave the pill. Worked like a charm. I think it is harder to hid the pill in food for cats than it is for dogs.

We love the Capstar product and have always bought at the store, but decide to order online. Product expiration date on what we received was only 2 months from date of purchase. Product seemed not the quality we had always had - needed to double dose our animals and dose only lasted half as long. So, not satisfied at all with this experience.

I have been fighting a losing battle against flees on my two cats for the last 3 month. None of the available stuff did much. Last week I gave both cats Capstar tablet and I haven't seen a flea since! Best flea treatment ever! It wasn't even difficult to get the cats to swallow the pills.
