"I have a 3 yr. old black lab that we adopted and she has severe separation anxiety. We used this product, and it made her calm enough to stop chewing and barking while we are gone. It works well for her."

"This diffuser works for our 14 month old collie. No more destroyed carpets or shoes when we are gone, even if he has to be alone all day (rare). We had one in living area and put another in sleeping area which is working better for a full nights sleep. Do not expect much change when you are with the aminmal, he is still raring to go when we are here with him. I notice no odors or other problem with smell or anything, so only the dog is affected."

"My dog has sever thunder storm phobia. She ate her way out of the bathroom when she was left alone during a storm. This product has worked better to calm her than any other recommended remedy I have tried."

"This product really works. I have 2 senior dogs - one with dementia and the other has a brain injury (encephalitis after vaccinations). Both seem more content. Too bad there isn't a product like this for us humans!"

"We just got a 9-week old Shih-Tzu/Maltipoo mix. He is a great little puppy -very friendly, playful, and loving, but he has had no crate training, and therefore whines/barks/whimpers/howls whenever he is in the kennel. We are not new to crate training by any means, and have crate trained his older brother (a Lab/mix) to the point where the dog goes to his kennel to receive any rewards (toys, meals, treats, etc) without being told and even goes and sleeps in his kennel or lays there on his own free will. The new puppy is having a harder time adjusting, and we've already had complaints from the neighbors. I decided to buy this product because bark collars are just too much for a puppy so small and so young (and because it was on sale). At first, he still whined and even howled a little when I left the room, but within the next fifteen minutes, he was calmly sitting there chewing on a dog toy and then fell asleep after that. It's only been the first use, so hopefully we'll continue to see good results. I'll keep this updated if possible."

"Ater getting our West Highland at about 6 weeks old, we brought him home and set him up with his own area in the kitchen with his food, water, crate, and pad and sectioned him off with one of Petco's excercise pens. It took him a while to get the idea of urinating on the pad, but eventually with treats he began to learn. The problem is.. he only did it while we were home. Every day we came home from work, we came home to a disaster. He would rip apart his pad and 'go to the bathroom' where ever he chose, not to mention walking and laying in it. I was giving him a bath every other day, if not every day. He had toys to play with, but those ended up needing washed each day also.
I came to this site looking for some help and upon reading the reviews for this product, I was sold!! We plugged it in right above his little area at about chest height. It's been about a month now and we've witnessed NO change in his behavior at all. He still makes a disaster each day. He still whines until told "NO", but will then continue 10 min later. He was never much of a barker, thank goodness.
I'm sorry to disagree with the majority of people on here, but I would NOT recommend this product and I will NOT be buying a refill."

"I have a 6 month old pomeranian (only 3 pounds) that had severe separation anxiety even though she had another pomeranian at home while I was gone. She chewed and shredded carpet, chewed up baseboards, chewed up rugs, chewed on furniture and did quite a bit of damage for being a baby. I purchased this product not really believing it would have much of an impact, however the destructive behavior stopped. I strongly support this product."

"We adopted a dog from the ARL 2 yrs ago. She had separation anxiety right from the start. Sadly, I was going to return her to the ARL because of all the damage she was doing to our house. Comfort Zone was our last try. An ARL employee recommended it, and it worked wonders. We didn't have a problem from that day forward. We just recently acquired a 6 week old puppy. One of the first things I did was buy the Comfort Zone to help with the anxiety puppies often times have when left alone. Again, it is a life saver. She's much happier and so are we! I would recommend this product to everyone with dogs that have problems with anxiety!!"

"We were REALLY hoping this would help, but our optimism dwindled as we watched our second refill disappear. Our puppy has pretty severe separation anxiety, and gets destructive, whinny, and shakes a lot when we leave. We plugged it in right next to his crate, but after 8 weeks we realized that this thing didn't make one ounce of difference. If your dog has moderate to severe SA, I wouldn't bank on this helping. For mild anxiety or crate training, perhaps this product is effective."

"I love this product. Our rescue dog deals with high separation anxiety and by the second day of having this near her cage we saw a noticeable difference. She used to end up with cuts on her face and neck, even lost a nail (costing us over $250) attempting to free herself from her cage while we were gone. The first day that I entered the house to find her calmly laying down with her blanket fully intact and no injuries I could have cried. I really think that this made a difference."

"We rescued a Golden/German Shepard mix who is a wonderful dog, but....when we would leave, he aquired severe seperation anxiety, he broke a window, chewed the handle off of my big front door, chewed up the molding around the front door and also peed on a couch. My vet reccommended Anti-anxiety medicine and Prozak. I only used the Anti-Anxiety medicine which worked ok, but the real difference was when I plugged in this product. I haven't used the medicine in over two months!!!"

"I was pretty skeptical about this product- but I read reviews on other sites and since we had just purchased a third wire kennel for our 8 month old lab- after he destroyed the first two- I thought it would be worth a try. And it worked! He is left home in our bedroom while we're gone (9hrs)- the first thing he would always do is pull the covers off the bed. Within a couple days even the covers were where they should be when I got home. The true testament to this product was that when it came unplugged for 1 day, we came home to chewed up mini-blinds. With a healthy dose of exercise this product makes my kennel destroying puppy, and angel."
