Didn't work for me :-(

"I bought this before Christmas in hopes it would stop my fixed female kitty stop peeing under our christmas tree. (it's not a pleasant surprise to find your christmas gift covered in urine.) I had some hope it would work after reading reviews and seeing the PRICE, but unfortunately it did nothing at all. It has been plugged in for over two weeks now RIGHT NEXT to where she's been peeing. Needless to say, unfortunately it didn't work for me. I didn't notice a difference in either of our two cats in our small apartment living room where it's plugged in. Our christmas preasents were mostly spaired, but our tree skirt is ruined."

Feliway aroma therapy for cats

"This stuff really works! I volunteer at an animal shelter and work with cats. Although the cats are in cages for most of the day, they are not agitated and panicky when the Feliway is in use. I can tell when one of the refills has emptied and not been noticed right away. The cats begin to act agitated and even sometimes frantic to get out. When the Feliway is in use, they are calm and content. It is pricey but well worth the cost!!!"

"I have a two year old cat and just got a new kitten. My older cat was stressed out to say the least, so I did some research and found many people saying good things about this product, so I bought it thinking it can't make things worse. It seems to be working!!! My resident cat actually seems to be more relaxed, and loving !!! I say if your cat is unhappy its worth a try, it worked for me."

"Our 12-year-old cat is suffering from renal failure including high blood pressure and we have recently confined her to our kitchen which was pretty traumatic for her and our family. I plugged in the diffuser yesterday and she is amazingly content along with our other 4-year-old cat. He loves to stay in the kitchen with her now so they are both very happy. I highly recommend it for any situation."

"We went from one to six cats, and through old age and illness are down to four. HOWEVER, no matter the number, someone always gets up on the wrong side of the basket, or lap, or bed, or whatever, with cats it doesn't matter. But we finally got the better of our furry felons by using vet recommended plug-in Feliway. Eureka! They adore the stuff, and if they do, we do. We don't know what they smell, but it soothes their sniffers. It's bliss to sleep without running to break up fights, or hearing a body hurtling against a glass door to challenge an outdoor intruder (yes, they're all indoor cats). Our cats' hierarchy changes, but the Feliway stays the same: wonderful, indispensable, calming. Those little boxes of plug-in Feliway refills are a balm of saniity for the whole family--our cats and us, their servants. Believe us and accept no substitutes (or the Feliway Spray)--it's Plug-in Feliway ONLY, everyday and all the way!"

"With 4 unrelated male cats of all different ages, even with being neutered, fights broke out on a regular basis. This product has worked well to keep the "boys" from doing more than the occasional tussle with each other now. I can always tell when it's getting time to change the refill, since the aggression level starts to climb. I also like the ease of changing the product containers with the refills; as easy as changing a light bulb. And it is virtually odorless; not even visitors to our home notice any odor."

"I foster many MaMa cats and their kittens for a cat shelter until MaMa can be spayed and kittens put up for adoption. This brings much stress into the house with my other cats I own. Since using the Comfort Zone I have noticed a BIG difference in the cats and not being stressed out. Everyone of them is so much more at ease with the changes that go on. Recommend it to many other volunteers in the shelter."

"I have 4 cats and when I take them to our beach home one of them becomes aggressive towards the others causing them to hide under the beds the entire time we are there. They all seem nervous because of the change of environment. A few days before bringing the cats back I plugged in the diffuser with Feliway giving it time to fully infuse the area. Once we arrived the one who is usually aggressive was mellow and never bullied the others and they only went under the beds for short periods venturing out for the majority of our stay. It really did seem to help! Try it!"

"I had bought the diffuser in the past when I moved and it didn't work, but maybe didn't give it enough time. This time, I moved again and I bought the diffuser and plugged it into my new home 48 hours before moving. I also bought the comfort zone spray. I can not tell you how surprised I was to see that these products work when used in conjunction.
My one cat (absolute terror) upon the first move took 4 days to adjust to both the new home and the other cat (they are only 3 months apart) without any hissing and attacking. This time, I used the spray (as recommended by other reviews) and sprayed it in the cat carriers and then again in the new home before letting them out. The one cat that is an absolute terror, was so calm for the first day that by day 2, he was adjusted and following me and the other cat around all over the house. It almost was like a sedation for him.
I would absolutely recommend both products if used in conjunction with one another. The diffuser is still plugged in and I have been in my new home for 4 days. I think it's useful for 30 days. I am sure the cats will be okay if I unplugged it, but I will wait....... LOVE the spray...it's like a sedation!"

"I tried the Comfort Zone diffuser when I brought a new cat into my home. He and my resident cat fought all the time, and I tried everything to get them to be at peace. I finally resorted to this rather expensive idea. After four weeks, there was no change in their behavior. This was obvious when they fought 4 inches below it. I gave up on the diffuser and it now sits in a box. The diffuser is made well, and I think it's a great idea, but it didn't work for my cats."

Good results with Feliway

"We have a 9 year old cat that we got when he was a kitten. He was a birthday present for my daughter (now 23 yrs old), but he seems to only like me. He tends to ignore my husband and attacks my daughter. She has been biten bad enough to have a couple small scars.
I discussed the problem with my vet and he suggested Feliway. The situation has improved about 80%. He does seem much calmer and we have learned to keep an eye on him for aggressive behavior.
We never had a problem with spraying, but it seems to be helping him stay calm. I thought putting him to sleep would be the only cure. My daughter refuses to let that happen. We are very glad to have found Feliway, even though it is very expensive."

"I have a 10 yr. old himalayan male cat. He gets very stressed out when little kids come to the house. Started spraying on the walls, I bought 2 diffusiers & the spray, it does work well, I haven't seen my cat spray since, & it actually does work with the scratching! My cat has a serious problem with scratching on everything he could get his paws on. The only down fall I have with this product is it's pretty expensive."

"I had adopted a cat from the Humane Society for my daughter. However, we brought her home and found out that she had an evil streak. Our issue was that she behaved like a predator attacking it's prey. You would walk by her and next thing you knew, she was latched on to your leg with her nails and teeth... OUCH! After trying numerous things.... behavior modification & trying to catch her with a squirt of water as a deterant, we had no luck. Afterall, Jesse James himself would have a difficult time hitting a predator with a squirt of water. So we took her to the vet to see if there was a humane way to file down her canine teeth so that it would be less painful and not as damaging. After bouncing ideas back and forth, our vet suggested the feliway products. I can't begin to tell you how much of a life saver it has been!!! As soon as we plugged them in she became more mellow. Her 'attacking' has been significantly reduced. I know that this product is pricey, but it really worked for us."

OMG! THS STUFF WORKS

"I have several cats, and one of my males has literally driven me nutz with his spraying. He's the youngest of the males, now being 6 yrs. old, the other 2 are 16 and 12, I also have 2 females, one age 5 the other age 6. None of my cats are true siblings... anyway... this stuff really works... since I started using it my naughty male has quit spraying!! I quit using it because of a big move and had no problems until a few nights ago when a stray cat decided he wanted to nap? or whatever on our porch. My naughty male just about went thru the screen door to get at that cat. I was able to get him calmed down, shut the door etc. but within 20 minutes he had sprayed the door itself... so, I am going back to this product pronto!! I had tried a few other products and methods but they didn't work at all... not even for a day.... Sign me one happy cat mom... meow"

"I'm not quite sure I would recommend this to everyone. If you have a cat with something to prove it won't work. I bought this product and plugged it in, 3 days later my cat urinated 1 foot away from the device. It's been almost a month now and I haven't seen a sign of urine anywhere in that room.
I also tried the spray, it doesn't seem to work like the plug-in. Maybe if you were to use it in the car or in a carrier it would be ok, but spraying everything in your house on a daily basis isn't practical."

Nothing stopped carpet potty until Feliway

"We have an adult kitty who began pottying on the carpet in the dining room in a new home when nervous or upset, or just needed some attention. (Most common times were just after we got up in the morning or just after we got home in the evening; and we ruled out medical issues.) Nothing worked, not even giving in and adding a litter box that we slowly moved toward her main one in another room. Once it was about six feet from her 'potty spots', the semi-weekly soiling would begin again. We were ready to give up the room altogether when we discovered the Comfort Zone with Feliway diffuser and spray. We use the two products in tandem and the pottying stopped immediately, and in the past four months, she's only relapsed twice. We also use it in other places around the house, and she's a calmer, happier kid who actually hangs out with us now, whereas she used to want to hide in a closet all the time. For removing odor and stains, nothing beats a healthy douse of Nature's Miracle - I now only need these three tools in my arsenal against inappropriate potty. I've recommended these products to several people and always get glowing affirmations. Feliway was also a great comfort for my mom's cat who couldn't sleep in her usual bed after surgery. The same cat had rejected her favorite chair after a guest sat in it, until it was sprayed lightly with Feliway. I recommend everyone with cats at least keep the spray on hand, even if they think they don't need it right now. (There's also a version for dogs that my friends rave is just as great as Feliway.)"

End the Urine Competition

"It seemed my cats were having a competition to see who could mark more square footage of my home. I spent hundreds of dollars taking them to the vet for checkups and I was tirelessly cleaning up after them; the smell was awful too of course. Then I discovered the Feliway diffusers. I had tried the spray before, but it did not work. The diffusers plug in, you don't even notice they are there, and best of all...NO MORE URINE all over the house! Feliway is worth every penny!"
